Kaidence's POV

Im here in this office talking to the new girl Cassie. Shes really cool and I think me and her are gonna get along well  she kinda reminds me of my sister... My sister died when I was 15 now Im 17. My brother died when I was 16. My other brother hes still living somewhere out in the world.... That stupid boy went to Jail because he was involved in a murder case. I hate him how tf he gon be involved in a murder when he knows that our sister got murdered. Hes so heartless... he left me with my brother Melvin. *sigh* Melvin isn't around anymore he... he died last summer. I don't think August knows about that but you know what I don't care I refuse to talk o him and nothing will ever change my mind about how I feel towards him. I only got me myself and I to look after me.

Anyways , Its not like Im necessarily struggling Melvin was talented, he knew he was bound to die soon.. I mean with the life that he lived avoiding death was inevitable. He left me stuff in his name. Soo Im financially blessed. whatever enough of that.

Principal- Theres nothing that can be done about your accusations again Samyra Banes so you and her will be let go . I dont want to hear another peep out of you today you understand

I rolled my eyes and I was about to walk away and he sighed.

Principal- August called...

Me- Oh hes out of jail again I dont want to talk to him

Principal- Please it's important I dont think he knows about Melvin.

Me- *sigh*  I still live at the same address he can come see me.

I walked out with Cassandra.

Cassie- Whos August if you dont mind me asking

Me- My brother my stupid brother!

Cassie- What did he do

Me- Left me all alone thats what! He made stupid decisions

Cassie- How you mean

Me- He chose the streets over his own family. That stupid guy! I hate him so much.

Cassie-Dont anger yourself over things you cant help , have you got any other siblings

Me- I did... They died

She looked at me and gave a hug.

Cassie- Im so sorry

me- Its okayy I'm kind of over it i guess.

I walked Cassie to her locker but she had nothing to put in there... Now that I notice shes not reallyy wearing much... and she wait?

Me- Where did you come from?

Cassie- Haiti...Im somewhat illegal

I chuckled coz its was kinda funny

me- So where are you staying?

Cassie- I only got here yesterday Nd I stayed at the docks.

me- So that means you have nowhere to stay and no clothes and stuff?

She looked at me and nodded I figured she was kind of embarrassed

Me- Dont worry girl I got you , You can stay with me in my guest room. We can go shopping after school

Her face lit up

Cassie- Thank you so much

Me- I really cant be bothered to stay for the whole day lets go

Cassie- Will I get in trouble?

Me- If you're with me? Always

I laughed and ran out to my car she followed behind me. She got in the passenger seat of my all black jeep... It used to be Melvins but you know hes not here anymore.

I put on the radio and I heard a familiar voice... sounds abit like August. Whys he on the radio?
