When Elijah had to depart,
Elisha asked for him to part;
With a double portion of Elijah's anointing
As Elijah ascended above,
Elisha received the anointing.
Elijah asked to die
So threatened by Jezebel
Elisha knew why.
So Elisha,from Bethel,
Asked for more unction
To function.
He asked.
And he obeyed instruction.
Then, He received.
With so much Anointing,
He won victories without
Battles.
As time went by,
Elisha had Gehazi.
But Gehazi wanted gifts.
He ran after material things.
He thought he could use rejected gifts,without Elisha knowing.
Even after spending so much time with Elisha.
And seeing him know things
He wasn't supposed to.
Gehazi wanted no anointing.
So he got leprosy.
So when Elisha died,
There was an abundance of residual power.
So much power that his bones raised the dead.
The greed of Gehazi, interrupted what could have been something so wondrous.
