A/N edit is mine and I am super proud of it lol also here is a very Angsty oneshot based on the bway musical Dear Evan Hansen enjoy!!! 💖💖💖
It was an early February morning.

7 year old evan hansen woke up to his alarm clock and jumped out of bed smiling and bounced to his closet. Evan had always dressed himself,he couldn't remember a day he hadn't done so. He didn't understand what was going on with his parents. All he knew was that his daddy and mommy yelled a lot and used grown up words. They yelled so loud he had to cover his ears. He also knew that daddy hadn't been home in a few days and his mommy always looked like she was crying. Her eyes were red and puffy, her nose redder than rudolph's, and her cheeks sunken in. she stayed in the kitchen drinking drinks from glass bottles that smelled really gross. Evan was seven. He didn't understand. He didn't understand his parents were divorcing and his mom was always drunk.

He pulled on a red shirt with a race car on in and put on his beat up sketchers. His daddy promised him new ones for christmas. He smiled and pulled on his jeans and ran to the bathroom to finish getting ready. He then looked out the window and smiled big at the sight. It was a real truck! In his driveway!! He gasped and ran downstairs "mommy! Mommy! Mommy!' he yelled as he ran down. His mother, Heidi, groaned and rubbed her head hungover. "Inside voice evan!" she snapped.

He frowned and stopped at the last step "and what have i said about stomping down the stairs? It gives mommy a headache." "s-sorry mommy i just got excited." she laughed cruelly "what is there possibly to be happy about on this *****y day?" "there is a real. Deal. giant. TRUCK! IN OUR DRIVEWAY!" he squealed excitedly she spit out her drink and froze "what did you just say?"

He smiled and ran to her "outside! A giant truck it's so amazing come see!!" he tried to pull her but she didn't move. Then the doorbell rang and evan smiled "i bet its the driver!" he smiled and ran to the door

Heidi jumped "evan don't open that-" it was too late the door opened to evan smiling "DADDY!!" "hey buddy!' he smiled and evan hugged his leg. Heidi froze at the sight and her face turned nasty and his went blank "i'm here for my things. Not a fight." he said sternly. "I am not the one causing fights." she snapped he rolled his eyes and tried to walk and sighed in annoyance "get your son off my leg." he whispered to heidi. Evan was oblivious, he learned to tune out the fighting. "I will if you can tell me our son's name!" she whisper snapped back he just glared at her heidi scoffed "what i thought. Evan let go of him." he let go and smiled up at his dad.

"Daddy daddy daddy did you drive that truck here!?!" he nodded and started up the stairs as heidi watched sadly. Evan trailed after him tripping slightly because of his short legs in comparison to his father's large ones and large strides. "Do you think you can take me on a ride!?!" "EVAN!" heidi called. He frowned and turned around "yes mommy?" 'go to your room and stay there until i say so." he frowned and his father glared at heidi "dont get mad at him he didn't do anything!" "don't tell me how to parent!" "well i am his parent so it's kind of my job." "you have not helped one bit!"

Evan whimpered and watched them fight "mommy? Daddy?" but they ignored him.

I try to speak but nobody can hear ...

he thought and went to his room. He stayed there and heard his parents yelling and fighting. He heard things get thrown and broken. He curled up on his bed and closed his eyes wishing he was far away. He heard the talking stop and looked out the window. The truck was turned on. His eyes shined with awe and he ran down stairs and ran out the front door.

He ran out smiling big and was met to his mothers angry face.

"Evan Hansen I told you to stay inside!" She didn't yell it she seemed worn out and so done. He frowned "but I wanted to see the truck! Can I have a ride?!" Heidi glares at her now ex husband and then storms inside and Evan is placed in the front seat. He pretended to be driving smiling big.

About ten minutes later the truck was totally packed out and he'd I came out now even more drunk hair a mess screaming at Evan to get out of the truck. Evan frowned and he watched his parents dive into another fight and he whimpered.

The two yelled adult words and new words Evan had never heard before. Tears burned in his eyes. He didn't like fighting he didn't like loud noises. He was very uncomfortable. He slid out of the truck falling on his arm and looked up. No one saw. He whimpered and stood up and dusted himself off. He was fine.

He walked to his parents "mom?" He whimpered and tugged I'm her sweat pants "go away Evan! The adults are talking! You don't get to talk right now! Go inside!" He gasped and the father yelled at Heidi and she yelled back. The two arguing even more. "Dad!" Evan yelled "SHUT UP EVAN!" He hollered at him. Evan froze. That killed him. He thought his father was on his side. He whimpered and Heidi glared at her ex.

The man sighed and knelt before Evan "Ev?" Evan nodded "I'm sorry. I really am" Evan thought he meant he was sorry for yelling at him "it's okay dad. I know you didn't mean to tell I'm just getting I'm the way." "Evan you don't get I'm the way. You are very important." "I'm just forgotten about when you two fight." "No. No you won't understand till you're older Evan, but you are very important to us and will never be forgotten. No one deserves to be forgotten." He hugged Evan and Heidi pulled Evan back from his father.

"Goodbye.' She whispered brokenly to the man. Tears in her eyes. She loved this man. She never would understand why he did leave her. He sighed  and got in the truck and Heidi pulled Evan inside and licked the door and started to sob and ran to the kitchen.

Evan smiled softly to himself and ran to the couch and looked over the back of it out the window and saw his father in the truck. He smiled and began to wave through the window smiling and his father looks right passed him. He seemed angry and sad. Evan frowned

"Daddy?" He whispered

Then yelled "daddy!!"

Try to speak but nobody can hear...

He waved frantically

I'm waving through a window....

He frowned tapped on the glass hoping he would hear him and yelled smiling TRYIMG to get his fathers attention as he left

I'm tap tap tapping on the glass...

He continued to do so as he watched the truck drive away and disapear. He wondered if the truck would come back with his dad. He sat and watches through the window. Watching people pass by his window.

He realized soon if another truck would take his mom away.

17 years later Evan Hansen is still waving through his window.....
Will anybody wave back?
