Her eyes dry like the sand,

She had cried too many tears,

Experienced too many fears.


Resentment and hate,

Had infiltrated her too late,

The fight had been fought,

Unfortunately she lost.


See, society had painted pictures in her brain,

Telling her that life would be all sun no rain,

But when the storms covered her light,

She realized that society was never right.


The models in the magazines,

Flaunting their skeleton frame's on Seventeen,

Never realized that because of them,

She forgot that she was a precious gem.
