A/N: This is gonna be a short little thing of when she gets left and when she meets Billy Black.

A little girl of 5 years old sat in the backseat of the car, talking to her parents about making sand castles and building a dam around it, asking if they were gonna teach her to swim, shooting question after question on what shells should go on top of the castle. Her parents looking straight ahead, not answering her and paying attention to the approaching beach. She squealed excitedly at the sight of the empty beach, the water hitting the shore and there was a slight breeze. Her father got out of the car, her mother following, her mother unbuckled her from her car seat while her father got out what she assumed was the beach bag.
The little girl tugged at her mother's hand, leading the way to the beach excitedly. Her mother holding back a sob as she watched her little girl jumping up and down, a wide smile on her face, showing her dimples. They were soon joined by the father who also hid a sadden expression.
They played for hours, they taught her to swim, something she caught onto quickly, they buried the father in the sand, they took a picture in front of the waves, and they were working on the sand castle when the sun began to set.
The little girl was collecting sea shells like her mother suggested, she said to get about 10 and to make half smaller than the other half. Determined to make her mother happy with her collection, she put all her attention on scoping out the best shells, not noticing her parents creeping away, tears in their eyes as they got in the car and drive away.
Once she felt like she had gotten the appropriate shells, the little girl turned around, her little arms full of shells. Her smile dropped of her face when she didn't spot her parents, her arms dropping the pretty shells as she ran towards their beach towel and items. Her chest heaving as she looked around the empty beach, searching for her parents. Her eyes blurring with tears and she took deep breaths to keep from crying out loud. She looked down at the blanket and saw her favorite wolf toy and a matching pendant.
She turned to the castle and kicked it down and began jumping up and down on the castle in despair. She didn't sob but she knew tears were falling down her face. She tiredly plopped down on the beach towel and wiped her tears, curling into a ball as she saw the sun finally set. She couldn't help but wait up, thinking that her parents wouldn't leave her out at night. She waited and waited and continued to wait until exhaustion caught up to her, pulling her into a deep sleep.
She slept through the night, holding tightly to her wolf toy and necklace. When the sun peeked, she slept through that too, she only woke up when she heard someone yelling out. She jumped up from her position and saw a man in a wheelchair, his long hair blowing in the slight breeze. He was waving her over and she shook her head in protest, not knowing the strange man. The man yelled out to her and she tried her best to ignore him but he continued to try and get her to come to him.
Finally she got tired of his constant yelling and marched over, her arms crossed and her face still having dried tears on her chubby face but she had a pout on her lips. The man patted his thigh and she climbed up with little struggle.
The man asked what she was doing out alone in the early morning. He asked where her parents was which caused her to throw a fit, breaking down in tears, crying about how they left her and she wasn't sure if they were coming back.
When they went to police station and the man's best friend, Charlie Swan, escorted her home. Only no one was home, her parent's stuff gone and it looked like it was grabbed in a hurry, and her parents was no where to be found. The little girl cried, sitting in the back of the police car, holding her wolf toy in one hand and the other arm rubbing the tears away repeatedly as she continued to cry out in despair.
They were going to take her away, into the nearest orphanage but she kept pointing to the man who was standing next to Charlie. She cried out for him, trying and succeeding to get his attention. The man said some words to his best friend and she watched from the window as the police officer opened her door. She climbed out, refusing Charlie's hand, and ran towards the man, climbing into his lap and hugging his neck with her small tiny arms. She kept shaking her head, repeating the word "stay," and holding him tight.
The man looked towards his best friend with sad eyes and nodded to him, a way of saying he wanted to keep her, hugging her to him, letting her know that she was staying with him and he wasn't going to let her go.

A/N: I feel as though there was some mistakes but I think it came out good enough. The part with Billy at the end was probably my favorite part. This was a little intro into how she ended up with Billy.
