Hannah Roberts waited in a school parking lot with her mother. They were picking up some kids from a nearby school and flying to a youth retreat in Latvia. Hannah was home-schooled and had always been since third grade. She enjoyed it, but some days wished she went to this school (or any school for that matter). "Are you excited, Na-Na?" Mrs. Roberts, Hannah's mother, asked from the passenger's seat. Na-Na was a nickname that grew from Hannah's inability to pronounce her name when she was younger. Hannah sighed. She didn't know for sure. She was unsure as to whether she would enjoy herself. "Um, yea, I guess so." Mrs. Roberts was the designated adult attending the airports with the four kids. "I'm sure you'll have lots of fun." She replied. Hannah nodded to herself and watched as the school door opened and her best friend stepped out. Hannah kept her eye on Krissa as she opened and shut different doors of her car, which was parked a small distance from theirs. Krissa's mother followed her around and Hannah waited patiently for the two boys. "Are you excited that Michael is coming?" Mrs. Robert's asked, winking at Hannah. Hannah had an on-going crush on the cutest boy at this school. He was tall-er then her, but not too tall. He had beautiful chocolate brown eyes, a contagious- ever present- smile with the cutest gap between his front teeth, and the fluffiest dark brown hair. They were friends at one time, but after Hannah moved six hours away, they lost contact. Hannah giggled. "I think you know the answer to that question." Hannah replied, making her mother chuckle. The school door opened again and two laughing boys stepped out along with, Sam's father who was driving them there. Mrs. Roberts got out and helped them put their bags into the trunk.
