I am Hayley Kate Blackwood, pure blood and proud. Not that I hate those below me but yes, they are below me. The Blackwoods are the oldest and the richest wizarding family in America and me being the only child of my parents with no cousins makes me get all the wealth to myself.
My best friend Adrian has been there for me as far as my memory goes. Our parents have been best friends since their childhood so it was obvious for us to become friends. Even though the Blackwoods are Americans, my parents studied in Britain at Hogwarts with Adrian's parents, Jennifer and Alexander Malfoy and his aunt and uncle, Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy.
I've never seen my grandparents. At least I have seen my paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother in pictures but my parents never speak about my grandfather. Every time I ask them about him, they don't answer. But after I leave the room, I hear them speak hushedly.
When I grow up and start school, I fall in love with the boy I hated in the beginning. As the years go on and become more challenging, I am forced to face my destiny whilst trying to protect the ones I love.
