"And here is your new room" the overly exited woman with perfect white teeth says as she hands the silver keys over to me. i look around the dorm room. there are two beds and each have there own side of the wall. saying that i can see that one side of the room is decorated with rock music posters and black record disks are hammered on top of the ceiling just on her side of the room. her duvet covers are pitch black, and when i say that i mean no designs at all. i have to say although the image i have of her so far scream's goth or punk , she is really clean as the room is sparkling and it even looks like the vacuum has been done, which is great because i myself am a big clean freak.
she then walks out the room and leaves me to myself to look around. i start by decorating my side of the room. i hang fairy lights up on top of the ceiling by my side with some cello tape. i then put all my clothes away and put my shoes neatly. "aah all done" i say as i jump onto the bed and lie down resting my head on the pillow.
It feels weird my mum not being here because she is a big part of my life, always helping out basically the friendliest women you will ever get to meet. i look around the room and feel the emptiness start to consume me. i hate being alone, i haven't even met my new room mate yet but i do hope she is alot like me, but from her decorations i can clearly see that's not going to happen.
my mum was suppose to be here today with me and we were both meant to see this, my new start. my dad was not around alot and then he left when i was 7, i was too small to even remember his face but the only piece of information i know of him are that he was a horrible person and that his name was rob.
as i get up off the comfortable bed and walk over to my drawer at the foot of my bed i hear the lock on the door being turned and the door being opened.
"Tell Blake to shut it" a girls voice says. im assuming the girl im sharing my dorm with. "And also some kid lost his phone back there so they need to find it, apparently it was..."
A girl steps in with her black hair highlighted with an electric blue color, her arms totally covered in tattoo's and a piercing that is in her temple, look's pretty painful to me.
she catches my eye and stares at me "ill call you back Alec" she says before cutting off the call and throwing the phone to her side of the room , on her bed. "hey" she smiles "i thought you were going to come tomorrow , if i knew then i would have been here to welcome you"
"no its cool" i say shrugging it off and closing my wardrobe "well you were gone i got all my stuff put away"
"nice" she laughs " to be honest if i was you i would not even have put my clothes away" she walks to her bed and closes the blinds on the small window by her side. i have one too, there on top of the headboards of the beds. "my name is Allison but you can call me Liz because most people do" she laughs.
i laugh along with her. maybe i can get along with this girl after all "my name is Alexa " i walk over to my bed and straighten out the creases picking up my phone as i do so. i have 4 messages from my mum , ill open them later i check the time and it is 9:00pm. "wow it sure is late"
Liz holds a confused expression on her face "its only 9, i mean im just going to go out again"
"what" i say confused . i normally go to bed at 9 and she is going to go out a 9.
"yea i mean i was thinking for us to get to know each other better so i was going to take you out to what i normally do on a Friday night"
"and what do you do on Friday night" i laugh
"i go to a party" she squeals "i mean yea i don't drive but my friend Alec is going to pick me up" she applies a ticker layer of eyeliner "and i said to him that you were coming too" she wines staring at me with her green eyes. "come on i know the person who hosts them , he lives in a frat house and he is really nice"
"i dunno i don't really want to go" i say looking at the time again. anyone who knows me would classify me as a good girl, or the nerd. i don't really like parties since i have never been to one and im still a virgin. i also spend most of my days inside and reading books or watching movies on Netflix.
"seriously" she sighs looking at the mirror again but this time applying a fresh amount of lipstick "come on i told him you were coming" she looks at me again "we also had to make one of our usual members drive her own car there just to make room for you"
"why would you do that" i say feeling guilty. now how am i suppose to say no i mean if they went trough soo much trouble for me
"because i wanted you to try something fun on your first day" she says rolling her eyes and walking to her wardrobe opening it showing me all the dresses it has hung up. she's sassy ill give her that.
"fine" i sigh defeated . i mean how could i possibly say no when she has gone through soo much trouble. that would be soo rude
