Forbidden or Forever

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Savannah's POV

It was on a rainy day in late October, my school was just about to go on Halloween recess. Halloween is my favorite holiday, scaring people, the pranks, the candy, and dressing up in costumes with no judgment, it's the best.

????: Savannah? Hey, Savannah!

I was thrown out of my thoughts by my best friend Evan, he's kinda like a brother to me.

Me: Oh, sorry, what were you saying?

Evan: I said hey, but you seemed out of it, something on your mind?

Me: No, just thinking I guess.

Evan: Thinking about what?

Me: It's nothing, don't worry about it.

Evan: Ok, if you say so...

With that said class was over and Evan was walking me home. We were having a very weird conversation, but it still interested me, when it was my turn to talk we ran into Riker, but before I could say one word I saw a girl around our age (15-16) with long brown hair being chased by a government vehicle. I grabbed Evan and Riker then ran after the girl, they stopped in an alleyway and when we finally caught up with the agents, they were aiming guns at her.

GOV Agent 2: Say your prayers!

Girl: [said in a calm/alluring voice] If you say so...

I felt so bad, why were those guys chasing her and why is she so calm in this situation?!?! The worst part of this was I couldn't help all I could do was watch, I feel so useless. Then right before my eyes, I see her taking out all the agents like it was nothing but before she could get away I saw one of the agents right before he lost consciousness shoot the girl in the shoulder, she fell with a thud and blacked out. I walked slowly towards her as soon as a figured it was safe.

Riker: Is she dead?

Evan: I don't feel a pulse but she's breathing.

Me: That should be impossible, right?

Riker: Yeah, she should be dead.

Evan: Ok dead or not she needs help and I think I know someone who can...

Me: [nods]

Riker: Alright let's go.

Evan picked her up bridal style and we all went to the only place that I knew would keep her safe...

Kelly's POV

I heard a knock at the door and went to see who it was, I open the door and saw Savannah and Riker with shocked looks on their faces, and then I look over at the injured girl in Evans' arms. I can hear my boyfriend Jason in the background walking behind me to see who's at the door.

Jason: Who's at the-OH, MY GOD! What happened? [sees the girl] Who's she?

Savannah: Jason stops asking questions and help us!!

Me: Bring her in and set her on the couch.

Evan walked over to the couch and set her down, she looked bad and by bad, I mean dead.

Me: Why did you bring a dead person here?!?!

Riker: She's not dead...

I look at him confused, how can he say she's not dead I'm checking her pulse as we speak, but she has none.

Riker: She's breathing look...

I do as I'm told and he's right, I felt the tickle of her breath on my fingertips and see the slow rise and fall of her chest.
