Descended from above

Chapter 1

Orange scorching flames were everywhere. The boy watched helplessly as people panicked and burned to death, trying to push through the anchoring rubble. The creature, that started all of this and made reality look fake, found the boy. He could observe the creature more clearly now. Sharp teeth, devil wings, horns. It looked exactly like a demon. The creature looked at him, and the next second, all that the boy could feel was pain. The rubble had been blown away together with the boy. The creature used its talons and seemingly used no effort whatsoever to swing at the boy, and the boy was covered in wounds. Three Long, red lines appeared on his chest, and blood gushed out of it, the boy knew that he was going to die, but could do nothing to stop it, as he was fading out of consciousness. It was almost as if he was going back in time. People were walking beside him in backwards motion and he too, without moving any muscles, moved as if somebody was controlling him.

"Wake up you sleepy head!" A feminine voice woke the boy up. He frantically touched his chest but there was nothing, not a single scratch. "I Guess it was a dream after all, a realistic dream..." he murmured to himself. "What are you saying? Get up and stop sleeping, lunch break is almost over!" A beautiful girl with long, chestnut hair hurried the boy. The boy stood up from the grassy ground and patted away the grass that stuck to his clothes. "Yes Ma'am" he replied in a teasing manner. The girl was speechless as if she had already given up hope on the boy.

"Haiz, this is why you'll never get a Girlfriend." The girl emphasised on 'Girlfriend'

"What? You Mom my now?" The boy teased again

"I..." the girl was cut off by the sound of a explosion that resonated through the sky.

"What was that?"

"No idea"

"Did something happen in that direction?"

Students were panicking but soon settled down. The girl was caught off guard by the explosion and dozed off for a second, the boy saw the chance and dashed off before the girl could stop him, "Get back here!" She screamed as she chased after the boy, towards the direction of the explosion.

The boy ran much faster than the girl and reached the site where the sound of explosion came from, and there were already many students crowding around the area, and they seemed to be in suspended motion as none of them moved an inch. The boy looked at them and looked at the direction they were all looking at, and froze. There was a gate in the shape of a demon. The mouth of it was emitting a green, eerie light that looked like it's from another world. By this time, the girl also arrived. She grabbed the boy by the collar and soon realised something was up, thus she looked into the direction everyone is looking at, and as if she had been infected with a virus that everyone else there had, she froze too.

"What is that..." the girl asked as she rubbed her eyes, making sure she wasn't seeing things.

"No idea, but we better get out of here as quickly as possible, I got a bad feeling from that gate..." the boy replied as his fears came through. Creatures, more exactly demons came
out of the 'gate'.

"Run!" The boy screamed, yet everyone still stood there, motionless

Then, out of no where, fireballs appeared and there was claw marks everywhere. Everyone who was 'put into suspended motion' was freaking out and running everywhere, creating a stampede. The boy realised this, the demons looked exactly the same as those in his dream.

The demons started shooting fireballs out of nothing and the whole school went bonkers, there was nothing but total chaos. It was then that a rubble fell from a roof, heading straight for the girl, the boy pushed the girl aside just in the nick of time to get her out, but instead the boy is now trapped under the rubble.

"No, Kaz!" The girl screamed at Kaz

"Run away, it's my fault for leading you her, so it's my responsibility to get you out of here, Donnie."

Donnie watched in despair, she couldn't do anything but to watch Kaz suffer under the rubble, so she ran, like Kaz told her to. Kaz watched in relief as Donnie runs away.

"If it's correct, the same thing as my dream will happen, I hope." Kaz said to himself. Instead of pushing away the rubble on top of him, he instead just laid on the floor, keeping low to avoid being spotted.

However fate has other plans. As he blinked, a demon appeared in front of him out of nowhere.

Kaz's face was contorted, "Am I really going to...die?"

Just when the same thing is gonna be repeated, a beam of light headed straight for the demon. The beam of light pierced through the demon, and it fell straight onto the floor, twitching from time to time like a cockroach.

Kaz spun his head to look at the direction of where the beam of light came from, and he saw 2 people wearing robes, one is a slender woman, the other is a beast like man. The man lifted up the rubble that was holding Kaz down, which is at least a ton or two, with seemingly no effort whatsoever, and the woman inspected him closely. "Finally, we've found him!" The woman said as if she had just found a pot of gold buried in the ground.
