There was only darkness and a deep rumbling noise, as if the ground were splitting and crumbling into an unknown abyss. There stood the monster, black and vile, roaring in anger to place claim on the area. Birds fled, animals tried to hide and run to safety, yet it was for naught. The beast destroyed everything in its path, leaving destruction in its wake. Then darkness, once more, until a shadow comes into sight, with garbs similar to those worn by the knights of Skyloft. "He's coming." Link now realized he was dreaming, though it didn't make anything feel less real. He could feel blades slashing into his skin, fire eating away at his legs, then nothing as the voice continued. "When the time comes, a spirit needs to be trained. It needs to know who to point it's blade to." Link yelled out to the voice,"I don't understand! What does that mean?" The voice replies simply,"You'll understand when you find the lost spirit. It's time, Link." Then he awoke. Link woke up to a day he was only slightly familiar with. "Link, wake up you sleepy head!", Zelda flicked Link in the ear, effectively waking him up and making him fall out of bed. This was the part that gave him deja vu. "I made lunch. You weren't awake for breakfast, so it went to waste, Link." This was the part he was unfamiliar to. After the battle with Ghirahim and Demise, everyone made their homes on the surface. It was strange, but the fear of the unknown made everyone group together more. Their little village was tighter and closer than ever. The knights of Skyloft still flew their loftwings, yet now patrolled on foot as well. Link still adventured out, getting rid of any monsters that were left, and also just to grab supplies they could use to create swords, shields, bombs, etc. Anything that could help the village protect itself and prosper.
Link got out of bed and kissed Zelda before making his way to their kitchen. They sat together and ate before Link readied himself to go out once more. Today, maybe because of the familiarity of his dream, he decided to head first to the goddess statue, to pray, which he did quickly so that he could sit and think about Fi. He still missed her, even if she was only there to give him directions and advice. He wondered where she was, or if she even existed still. It hurt to think she could be gone now. After awhile he headed of into the woods, killing monsters now and then when he spotted one. He had just picked up some things he could carry home, when he heard a familiar sound, like a metal striking a diamond, and breaking it. He turned quickly, and was surprised by what he saw. There, sticking out of the ground, was a sword, a crack in the blade where dark smoke trickled out. It looked so familiar, yet Link couldn't place why. He decided to take it with him. Link had a feeling that nothing good could come from the sword so, with a cloth in hand, he pulled the sword from it's place in the ground and slid it through a loop on his belt. After a moment of viewing his surroundings, he headed back home.
