THE SCENE REPLAYED in Farkle's head.
Over and over again he saw it, and over and over again he cried for her.
Erica was gone.
Even though Farkle had only known her a short time, he felt like he could come for her for anything.
And just like that, she was gone.
A gust of wind flew through Farkle's window, knocking the piece of paper from his desk to his lap.
Farkle sighed, opening the letter.
Farkle,
Hey, Farkley. Thank you for letting Malia and I join your family. We have no one, and now, Mal has no family. Please, take care of her.
Farkle, you are truly one of the most kind hearted people I know. You always put other people's needs before yours and I have always admired you for that. You are an amazing brother, and I only wish we could be this close longer. But we can't. Because I was going today, one way or another.
You are truly an inspiration to me, and I love you, I will never forget you.
The only thing I ask from you is that you never forget what love feels like.
I love you unconditionally.
Sincerely,
Erica ReyesFarkle cried as he finished the letter. "I'll never forget, Erica." He said. "I will always love you."
