A Dangerous Wish

The Cave

Jesse woke up, startled. She was breathing heavily and sweating like mad. "Reuben," she whispered to herself. Jesse threw her crimson bed covers over and  stepped out of bed. She put on her armor and grabbed her sword, just in case.

She walked out of her room without a sound and sneaked out of the treehouse. She climbed down the ladder and hopped down onto the ground. Surprisingly, the coast was clear, and there were no mobs in sight. Jesse looked up at the sky. It was very dark, but there were many stars to make it shine bright. She smiled. It had been a long time since she saw a sky as beautiful as this one.

She continued on walking. It was a little cold, but it was quite nice for an Autumn night.  She was still puzzled on why there were no monsters out. But she shrugged it off. A few minutes later, she heard a rustle behind her. She whipped out her sword and turned to see what was behind her. It was a creeper,creeping up on her. She was about to hit it, when it exploded. Jesse was thrown back, but she was safe. She got up swiftly, and scanned her surroundings for other mobs.

It looked safe, so she calmed herself. But then, she heard a few groans. She looked back to find two zombies walking towards her. "Wow, I can handle that, simple," she assured herself. But behind the duo of zombies was one hundred and forty seven or so zombies. Jesse's mouth hung wide open when she saw it. She started to run for her life. "AAAaaahhh!" she screamed.

She finally stopped when she saw a cave. She ran into the cave and stopped to catch her breath.  When she finally got her breathing under control, she looked around the cave. It was not a normal cave. It was perfectly symmetrical. Even though she was frightened to the core on how weird the cave is, and that she was just chased by so many zombies, her curiosity got the better of her. She started to explore the cave.

When she made it to the end of the cave, she saw a button. It wasn't just a normal button, it was glowing electric blue, almost like it was an enchanted button. Considering that she has an enchanted flint and steel, it wasn't surprising that there was such a thing as an enchanted button. She was about to press it, when she thought about her friends. They must be wondering where she was, especially when she disappeared in the middle of the night.

So she decided to go back to the treehouse. She would check the cave out bright and early in the morning.

I can't believe it! This is my first ever story, so I am super excited to see how it progresses.
