A/N:
This is my first time writing an fanfic, sadly there will be no smut or anything(i cant write that stuff). This probably will be cringe all the way but who cares. The soulmate au: the name of your soulmate on your arm. And in this au you will always find your soulmate and if your soulmate is dead a new name will appear. (That a/n was way to long)pretend like they can all speak English (y/nn = you nickname)

Edit: kinda want to revisit this story and change it but might not actually hold on to it. Currently working on it so dont mind the changes for now and just ignore it!:)

Y/n was just watching a show on Netflix when her phone pinged. She wondered who would message her this late.

Unknown number: Jimin-ah, do you still have my Iphone charger?

Oh, it was an unknown number. And the message was in Korean. Luckily Y/n was currently learning Korean, even though she was not on a native speakers level. She was pretty good at it. Her phone pinged again.

Unknown number: Jimin-ah. I can see that you have read my message, please answer me

While she normally wouldn't reply to a unknown number, she felt pity for the stranger and decided to answer.

You: I'm sorry but it seems that you have the wrong number

Unknown number: This is not funny Jimin-ah....

Y/n frowned, why would anyone joke about that? It is not even funny. She sighed

You: I am serious, I'm not Jimin. You have the wrong number. I hope you manage to find your Iphone charger

Unknown number: Oh.
I apologise for disturbing you, i really thought I had the correct number. I will be on my way then

Y/n pondered over her next message a bit. Something in her wanted to keep talking to this person. She was unsure why, but decided to follow her gut.

You: Its really no problem at all
Hey, weird question, but could I maybe keep texting you? I'm currently learning Korean, and i need some practice, and this seems like a good opportunity!

Phew, she did it. She hoped the stranger would say yes. They had seen the request atleast. Maybe they would ghost her. She wouldn't be too offended. After all, she was just a stranger.
Half an hour passed, and Y/n had already given up hope for a reply, but then she heard a ping. Please be the unknown person, please. She quitly prayed to herself.

Unknown number: You seem to be quite proficient in Korean already, why would you need me for practice?

You: I'm pretty decent at Korean, but I dont have any contact with native spreakers, so there is no opportunity for me to practice or keep up with learning

Unknown number: Do you not study in a group?

You: well yes, but those people are not native speakers and we tend to fumble around with speaking. To be completely honest, I am using google translate a bit right now to help with what i want to say

Unknown number: oh i see
Ah you know what, whats the harm in it.

You: really? You will help me?

Unknown number: I dont see why not, its not like I have a good reason to say no to be honest

You: OMG, thank you so much! You wont regret this, i think. May i have a name, you dont have to tell me though,,,

Unknown number: you can call me Min, I wont give you my real name ofcourse

You: I totally understand! My name is y/nn! Nice to meet you:)

Min: likewise. I have to go now, goodbye and talk to you later ig?

You: Bye bye!! Talk to you soon!

Y/n was elated. She thought that the stranger would say no but they didn't. Hopefully they could become friends. Y/n couldn't wait to talk to them again. Although she would wait a bit so she wouldn't come off as too strong. She tended to spam text when excited. She quickly informed her best friend about what happend. Then she looked at the time and cringed. It was already 2 am and she had work tomorrow. Better go to sleep she thought.
She fell asleep excited for the next day. Or today if you really though about it.

Y/nn: Im sorry you got the wrong person, and why are you calling someone chim chim. That is the nickname of park jimin of bts
Yoonswag1: oh sorry wrong number and you know bts?

Is this girl stupid is it not obvious. Oh god.. then i smirked and decided to go along with it. Somewhere i heard a guy with no jams asking why i was smirking at my phone.)

Yoonswag1: yes i am. And i call my friend chim chim cause he also likes bts. But where are you from and how old are you and what is your name?
Y/nn: yeez what is with the sudden interest you sound like a stalker or someone desperate to find his/her soulmate.
Yoonswag1: (his soulmate) and isn't everybody desperate?

Oh I'm chatting with a guy... wow i never met a guy who was an ARMY. Not that i really care, he seems nice and weird just like me.)

Y/nn: so you're a guy, nice to know.. and I'm not desperate to find my soulmate the time will come. And since you asked I'm from (where you are from) and I'm 22 soon 23 and I'm not giving my name because you are a stranger. That is what my mom told me and mommy is always right.
Yoonswag1: what are you, an idiot. Hahaha I'm your oppa! Oh and I live in South-Korea so I'm the luckiest person alive since i live in the same country as my idols and i can go every concert they give here.
Y/nn: okay oppa let me tell you something; you are a bitch. But anyways i gotta go because i have a live(no i don't) and have to go to work so bye. And i hate it that you are so lucky to be born in South-Korea.
Yoonswag1: okay bye. I will still save your number because i like to have a new friend.

Haha I hope he gets the friends reference, I'm such a genius !! He is nice.. maybe he can read my soulmates name then i will finally know. Oh shit I'm getting late for work.)
