When I Say Run, Run! (Ruby Redfort x reader)

Hey y'all. Sorry for the long wait on this chapter. I kinda had writers block and yeah. Plus, I've had moc exams and they always suck. Then I have had problems to deal with.
So, on with the chapter....

(Y/N) stared at the count.

"Long time no see, miss. (L/N). How have you been?"

"I've been okay. I guess. Yourself?"
Play it cool. (Y/N) told herself.

"Oh you know, the whole evil stuff does get boring after a while."

"I bet."

"I suppose Spectrum have recruited you now?"

(Y/N) shook her head. "N-no. What's Spectrum?"

"Oh, come now, (Y/N), don't play stupid with me. Tell me what you know."

"It'sto do with colour? Rainbow-"

She was cut off by the Count stamping his foot. She jumped and tears up a bit.

"Oh don't cry now." He smiled, leaning down. "If you cry, we will have to harm Lily. Your one and only friend."

"I- have other friends!" She said.

"Like who?"

(Y/N) paused. What other friends did she have.

"Ruby, Clancy, Hitch."

"Yeah kid?"  Came the voice from her necklace.

(Y/N) cursed.

"Such language for a young lady such as yourself." The Count tutted.

"Kid? Are you okay? Talk to me?"

The Count plucked the necklace from around (Y/N)s neck.

"Hello, Agent Hitch." He said.

"C-Count Von Viscount?!" Came the reply. "What have you done with (Y/N)?!"

"My, my, you care dearly about your second cousin, no? Not surprising. I mean, her parents were killed and you do wish to keep your promise no?" He laughed.

"What promise?" Asked (Y/N)

"Oh, he promised that should anything happen to them, he'd look after you. Yet he gave you up. Into an orfanage."

"But, that's not true. He came and saw me when I was there!"

"But did he tell you that he let your mother die? He let his own cousin die."

"No! That's not what he told me."

"Kid! Don't listen to him! I did all I could to save them! I tried to save her. But I didn't get to her in time! I had to save you first!"

"He's lying." The Count coughed. "You didn't even tell her you were related to her."

"That's irrelevant now! Let her go!"

(Y/N) shook her head, tears falling down her cheeks. "Why?"

"Well, good bye." The Count dropped the necklace on the floor.

"Ki-" Hitchs voice was stopped by the Count treading on it. And crushing the necklace.

"Oh come now, don't cry. I'm here." He leaned down and hugged her. The man who killed her parents, was hugging her?

"But you want me dead."

"So, Miss. (L/N), I have an offer for you. Work for me, and I will never harm any of your friends again or stay here and rot away."

(Y/N) thought. She was mad at Hitch. And the Count seemed to be the only one to help her.

"So, do we have a deal?"

(Y/N) looked up.
