Only Time Can Heal

Rachel's POV

It's been 6 months 2 weeks and 14 days since Crystal and I's pride killed Harvey. Life has never been the same without him.

Crystal and I have been getting along a lot better. Not that we had a choice. Harvey was our only friend. It was a mixture of guilt and loneliness that brought us together but now since we are together it seems like we have been friends for a lifetime. It turns out that we are surprisingly similar.

We both struggle fitting in on Earth or as people call it here the Life Realm, we both have elemental powers, and we both miss Harvey. But we are different in a lot of ways too since the whole fire and ice thing. Crystal is definitely cold hearted, narcissistic, apathetic, professional but deep down she is just lonely.

Anyway now since school is out I am going to live in the snow realm with Crystal. She could use somebody to warm her up plus I hope she could teach me more about our kind.

Crystal's POV

I don't know how I feel about Rachel staying with me. She may be warm hearted, brave, and passionate but she is really quick to anger and can be pretty aggressive. Plus I don't like people.

Never mind that though. I need her to bring Harvey back. Harvey didn't deserve to die from our selfishness. He was exactly who I needed in my life. He did the impossible he made me laugh. But I haven't laughed since. I only smile when manipulation calls for it. Harvey brought out a different side of me.

Anyway, I am hoping that Rachel can help me bring him back. I've been doing a whole lot of researching while I was in the Life Realm and I think that I know a spell that could save him.

A sense of warmth flew threw my body. Great, she has arrived. I made my way to the door to she that Rachel was already inside and my doorknob melted into a puddle of water. Sheesh! She has no control.

Rachel's POV

"Crystal!" I squealed before giving her a tight hug.

"Okay, that is enough." Crystal insisted shoving me away.

"Chill frostbite, I am just happy to see you."

"Sure, whatever." Crystal said making her way to an ice desk next to a smiley face urn.

Harvey. My heart melted. The urn was well fitting though I wish he didn't have to end up like this. "He is still smiling."

Crystal looked up a me coldly. "Yup, now why are you here?"

"Can't I just spend a summer with my friend."

"Sorry your friend is dead until further notice. Why are you really here?"

"Ouch, um okay then. I was hoping that you could tell me more about the fire realm and elementals."
