GREY'S ANATOMY

Ok so, I'm on season 4 of Grey's Anatomy, but I heard that Patrick Dempsey (who plays Derek Shepard) leaves the show in season 11???? I mean, I know that's a long time away for me, but it just really TICKS ME OFF. I there's only a few of the original cast left (Meredith, Richard, Alex, & Bailey) and I feel like Derek has always been the second main character. The mood of the show has always been slightly based around the feeling of Meredith and Derek's relationship, and I feel like we've become emotionally attached to them. Leaving the show is just selfish, since now Meredith is a single mother (because if she doesn't have kids, I will kill something) and we're supposed to just accept it because Shonda Rhimes got ticked at Patrick Dempsey?? No. That's not ok. And then Dempsey says that he should've left sooner? How selfish? Dempsey may be McDreamy, but he is certainly not McConsiderate. He is affecting so many of us and causing us to be so sad, just because he's self-absorbed enough to think that he's "better" than Grey's Anatomy.
I personally love Grey's Anatomy. But I certainly don't like what Dempsey does outside of it. What does he think about Ellen Pompeo (who plays Meredith Grey)? Is he jealous that she's the main character, or pities the fact she's stuck with the show?
I got so wrapped up in the characters that I didn't think about the actors. I ship Merder, and I think that Derek Shepard is a kind, generous, selfless, wonderful person, but Dempsey is the opposite.
