I was sitting in my seat next to one of my best-friends, Arianna, and starring at the clock.
"Only five minutes. Five minutes until life officially begins." I think to myself. Mr. Baryder is talking about our summer reading, that no one ever does.
I look to my left and give Arianna a big kool-aid smile. She gives me a big smile back, but quickly covers her mouth because her teeth are crooked. I love her smile, even though she has bucked teeth, I feel like it's something that defines her in a way. "Your teeth are fine." I whisper in her ear. She blushes and looks down. I happen to look at the clock and two minutes. Two minutes! I look behind me and see Johnny and Felix (My other best friends), they smile at me and I smile back.
"Liz? Up here please." Mr.Brayder says. I look at him and nod. Liz? Who told him he could call me Liz? It sounds weird coming from a teacher. My thoughts are suddenly irrupted by the bell. Yes! I think. I shoot up from my seat, and turn to my friends.
