"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly when I didn't receive an answer, I turned to the nice barman and asked for a glass of water.

Once Chris settled down he turned to me, "I am so sorry for keeping you waiting here, I had a meeting which went overtime. Once we were done I came here driving like a lunatic and I couldn't find a damn space so I parked my car few streets away and started running. I am honestly sorry."

"Don't worry about it, as long as you didn't stood me up I don't care." I stated.

"Why would anyone do that to you?" He said tenderly as he brown eyes bore into mine.

I couldn't help but say, "Why would anyone ditch me on the first date? I'm clueless too." I retorted.

His expression instantly changed, he moved his eye contact to the floor and his shoulder slumped. He had a grim expression as he confessed, "I am sorry about that, it was too much for me to take in. I honestly thought after the amount of emails we sent to each other I knew you ,everything about you felt right. When I saw you it blew my breath away but knowing you lied to be felt like I was betrayed and every emails we sent to each other felt like a lie."

I felt guilty for behaving the way I did, truth be told if a guy did that to me I think I would have reacted the same I just didn't wanted to think I was in the wrong. As soon as I placed my hand on his, he jerked his head up to look at me. "Chris, the emails we sent to each other the whole thing was not a lie. Maybe I omitted some basic information but the person who replied to you was me, the real me." I whispered as I looked him in the eye.

He gave me a genuine smile, "I would really like to start again."

"Same here." I smiled back.

He stuck his hand out, "Hi, I'm Chris."

I couldn't help but giggle. "Myra Dawn." I shook his hand.

"I must say you do look beautiful tonight." He stated.

I couldn't help but blush instantly. "Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself." I let my eyes wander down his face to see he was wearing a nice navy shirt with few buttons undone so I could see his muscular chest.

"You like what you see?" He asked arrogantly with a smirk on his face.

Oh damn! I honestly shouldn't have been staring at his chest. I cleared my throat, "Erm, shall we get some food?" I asked.

"Are you changing the subject?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"No, I'm just really hungry." Feeling my cheeks getting red due to getting caught on my intentions.

He chuckled sending shivers down my spine.

After a really nice meal without him ditching me or anything we danced to couple of slow songs. His hand on my waist and our bodies crushed together as we swayed around the dance floor, felt so right. Our breath mingled together as he stared into my eyes and I into his, the background was all a big blur the only thing mattered was the one thing I could focus on. Chris.

However as we manoeuvred across the floor one thing did caught my eye and my breath was trapped in my throat as I looked at the couple hand in hand ascending the stairs to the top floor. I didn't know what I was doing the only thing on my mind was that little moment replaying in my head. I stumbled away from Chris but he held me upright against his chest, at that moment I was grateful for Chris being here with me.

"Are you okay?" Asked Chris.

I cleared my throat, "Erm yeah." I muttered.

"Are you sure?" He asked hesitantly, he must know I was lying.

"Yeah, I think I better get home."

"I'll drive you."

As we reached my apartment, Chris climbed out and came around to help me. I instantly thought of Ethan doing the exact same thing last week. I shook my head trying to stop thinking of that jerk. "How you feeling now?" Chris enquired.

"I'm feeling much better."

"Good to know."

When we reached my door I stopped and turned to look at Chris. "Thanks for a great night."

"You're welcome. I hope we could do this-this again sometime." He stuttered nervously as his fingers unconsciously played with his car key.

I smiled, "I would love that."

"Myra, I just want to say I really like you."

My heart stopped beating for a second as I looked at him shocked. Before I could let them four little words sink into my head, Chris moved closer to me and held my chin between his fingers and tilted my head up so I looked up at him. "You are so beautiful." He whispered as his breath caressed my cheek. He moved his lips closer to mine and the butterflies in my stomach were flying wild. When our lips were a hair breadth away, he tenderly asked. "Can I?"

At that moment Ethan came into my mind and I was about to move away when I remembered in the club Ethan hand in hand with some woman made my heart ache. Therefore I took the latter option as I tried to diminish Ethan from my mind. I nodded my head slightly not being able to speak. At that exact moment the door to my apartment bust opened, I instantly jumped away from Chris.

"Myra!" Holly screamed excitedly until she saw Chris next to me. "Oooo is this Chris." She asked.

I nodded.

"Oh were you in the middle of something?" She asked with a frown.

Chris nodded.

"OMG I am so sorry I didn't mean to interrupt, I'll give you your moment." She said as she closed the door with a bang.

I looked back at Chris, "I'm really sorry."

"It's okay." He said as he linked his hand in mine.

"ARE YOU GUYS DONE KISSING YET?" I heard Holly scream from the other side until I heard other voices with her.

"Who's kissing?"

"Is it Myra?"

I started to panic. Great this was going to end with me embarrassed! I quickly turned to Chris, "You better go before my friends come out here and let me tell you something they will drive you crazy. Trust me."

He chuckled. "Okay I'll go, if you promise that we will meet again.

"I promise."

He gave me a peck on my cheek before he went. I stared at his retrieving back as I touched the spot he kissed me.

"Where's Chris?" Asked Myra.

"He's gone."

"But-but we wanted to talk to him." Pouted Holly.

"I know you did, maybe next time." I said with a smirk.
