After finally finishing his work for the day, Arthit stretched out his body, letting go of his exhaustion for staying in his seat for the whole day and closed his eyes after staring at the computer to finish his upcoming presentation.

He massaged his temples and looked around him to see that most of his colleagues has gone back home. He figured. It was almost 9PM after all. Most of the office lights were already turned off, and it seemed like he was having the spotlight to himself. Arthit looked around for his phone that he had abandoned since noon, to see if there was any incoming messages or phone call that he had missed.

...there was none.

He could not help but to feel disappointed. He thought that he would at least get a reply message from Kongpope, but it seemed like the other guy was really swamped with his school. He could not take it anymore, and got himself prepared to get back home while trying to call on Kongpope.

Only when he walked out of his office building that he was able to get through to his cell, so he was a little happy for a while that his phone got picked up that he stood still like a statue on the side-road as he answered his phone.

"Halo."

"Halo. Sawatdeekrap, P'Arthit."

Arthit was confused. He took off his phone from his ear and gave another look at the number he had just dialed. It showed Kongpope's name correctly. So why was a stranger answering his phone instead? He decided to ask.

"Errm, is this Kongpope's number?"

"Yes, P'Arthit. This is Aim here. I accidentally saw your missed calls and decided to pick up the phone instead. I didn't want you to be worried."

Arthit raised his eyebrow, puzzled.

"N'Aim, is Kongpope busy right now?"

"Errr... actually... P'Arthit..."

What was with this junior's tone? Did something happened?? The last time that he had spoken with Kongpope was two days ago on the phone, and Kongpope was just telling him about him being so busy with the preparation for outdoor hazing. Kongpope was still fine then, and they still exchanged short messages whenever they were free, either asking about their current works, or reminding each other to take good care of themselves.

"Actually... Kong had asked me not to tell anything to you but..."

Aim on the other side of the phone brought Arthit back from his reverie, and the junior's tone sounded like trouble.

"... Kong is sick now..."

"What?!"

Arthit accidentally raised his voice upon hearing the news. He did not realize that he was currently standing in a public place and everyone around him were looking at him strangely, each to their own thoughts as if something very bad had happened.

Arthit wasted no time and rushed towards the main road to catch a cab as he was still on the phone with Aim.

"Actually... it's not that serious, P'. He was just too exhausted and did not realise that he was having a fever, and still insisted on coming for the cheer meeting and went back latest after the hazing team meeting."

"Is he mental?!"

Arthit did not realise that he was scolding the wrong person. He had kept on reminding Kongpope tons of times to take good care of himself, not to overwork and he knew that guy was getting slimmer when he last saw him. That guy really did not listen to his advice.

He got into the cab and gave Kongpope's dorm address to the cab driver, and continued on his conversation with Aim.

"So, how is he now?"
