❥Chapter II

Beep Beep. Beep Beep.

My pilot alarmed. The time flashed across the skin north of my radius bone.

1:00 --   Start Afternoon Tasks

I sighed. Back at the office was hectic. Mail copies of love letters from Earth has to be scanned through and sent to Cupids of the said writer. And then there are tasks where the Cupids have to  manually observe and attend to our human assignments (baby-sit). Technically, it's letting love play out as it is; If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. And sometimes we help out humans choose the right path for love. It's more of a gut feeling of instinct on when we should aid our posts. 

Whispering in their ears ( they think it's their concious speaking ), playing with the minds of dogs to "bump" into the opposite sex  and the whole shabang. We're kinda like the tiny push everyone needs in falling in love.

All in all, I love my job. Honest.

I stared at the back of the clouds. I was high up over the ol' buttermilk sky and  from above it looked so flat, you'd try to walk in them. Which was what I was doing right now. 

My wings were wide open and I was gliding slowly as my feet skimmed the vapors. I lifted my right knee, then the left knee, so it looked like I was walking like a soldier over the billows. The moon casted light and the stars twinkled blue, red and yelllow. It twinkled the colors of our countries flags.

Anyway, back to the present.  I did a whole 180* U- turn towards the North America. I think I'm somewhere a high in Australia. Yeah, that's how fast I was going; took my almost 3 hours to get here from New York--

I smashed into something so hard from the speed I was going, and crumpled against it. The force hurt so much I felt myself getting unconscious; my vision began to get dark as I was falling downwards.

The last thing I saw was the clear blue sky. And nothing.

Then what hit me???

I woke up feeling groggy. I was lying on my back, the dark sky was atop and through my peripherals I could see the windows of a red brick building. Trashcans were littered in a corner and the black metal escape ladders had spiders webs in them.

I must've crashed inan alley. Facing up at the sky, I looked for something fishy that could have caused me. I could'nt have been an airplane 'cause I would have seen or heard it. Airplanes do fly that high.
