I came home late. My mom was asleep on the couch. I checked her medicine containers to see if she had taken her medicine. She had which was good because usually if I'm late she doesn't. My mom has anxiety and depression ever since dad left for a 19 year old. He was a scumbag.
Tonight was the worst night ever. I lost my best friend and got in a fight with the most preppiest girl in school. I'm tired of everyone and their drama. I decide to go upstairs quietly not to wake my mother who laid on the couch peacefully as ever.
I get upstairs and get ready for bed. I look in the mirror and remove whatever makeup is left on my face and then I look over at the clock 11:55. "Damnit." I wonder who's next honestly it's never really shocking anymore to see someone O.D., hang themselves, or just slit their wrist anymore. But it still makes me a little sad to see someone who was never depressed commit suicide for no reason.
As I get my pajamas on the clock rings twelve and I turn on the tv to see every channel is covered with suicide notes saying, "don't do it." Or "you're worth it". They've been doing this for the past few years now and they are pointless because it has never stopped anyone.
I turn off the tv and toss and turn to finally get to sleep. Eventually I feel myself drifting off into sleep, until I hear a scream come from outside. I left my window open. I get up to stair out my window to see a girl hanging from a tree, I can't make out who she is until I hear someone scream her name "AMY! WAKE UP YOU CANT BE DEAD! IM CALLING THE COPS JUST HANG ON." I stand in the window watching as the ambulance carries Amy, and then they drive away. I look over to see Bailey, the popular girl I got in a fight with earlier, with her knees on the ground and her hand in her face.
Amy and Bailey had been best friends since they were in preschool. Even though I hate her I go to my closet and get dressed. grabbing my jacket and my keys on the way out, I rushed to my car and pulled over by Bailey.
"What do you want now, can't you see I have nothing left!"
