"I know and I'm sorry, Jacob. I didn't know how you would react if I told you so I just kept it to myself. I didn't mean for it to come out like it did. Do you forgive me?"

"Man, we've been through everything together of course I forgive you but I'm still mad at you. Next time just tell me, bro."

I smiled. "Nothing like this will ever happen again."

He nodded his head and slid over to me on his chair and we did our secret hand shake. This is my real day one nigga. It's only been two weeks and we're already back to normal. This is what I'm talking about.

"So, what do you plan on doing with Darshay and the baby?" I asked.

"Man, I'm not even sure if that's my baby, foreal foreal. If she fucked around with my homeboys then she's probably fucking around with someone else."

"Jacob, that's your baby for sure. I hope ya'll make up. It's not fair if we're back to normal and she's just left in the wind. Plus, she's going to need you during her pregnancy."

"Yeah, but we're practically brothers, Chresanto. You were there for me when my father left me for his family in Mexico, when my mom almost died in that car crash, and when my grandma died because of cancer. You even let me, Brielle, and my mom crash at your crib when she lost her job and we couldn't afford the rent at our old house. Throughout all my problems and shit Darshay wasn't there for everything you were. She's to worried about herself and I'm starting to realize that."

"I don't know too much about y'all relationship but I could tell that she's in love with you. Whatever happens, just make sure you're there for your baby, Jacob. Just don't be a dead beat dad."

"I won't."

"I'm finna go though. I have to go pick up Kiki from her friends house and I promised them I would take their fat asses to McDonald's. I'll catch up with you later."

"Alright, good looks, bruh."

I walked out the room and bumped into Brielle. She scoffed at me then turned on her heel and walked down the staircase.

"Bri-"

"Don't fucking talk to me. Do me the favor and don't talk to me for the rest of the summer unless it has to do with Lani. I'll be gone in a few months so you won't have to worry about having to talk to me. Thank you, good bye." She said, walking into the kitchen.

"You can't stay mad at me forever, Brielle. Just know that."

Darshay

Two weeks has gone by to fast. I'm now three months pregnant and my belly is starting to grow.I use to be nice and toned now my hips are getting wider, my boobs are starting to grow - thank the Lord, and my stomach is getting fatter. Over this short period of time, I was just doing me. Yes, I was crying over Jacob every other night - well duh, I'm pregnant with raging hormones and I just got out of a bad relationship. It sucks to suck.

I applied for a few jobs and I finally got one at a maternity store in the mall close to my house. I started saving so I could have enough money to have me and my child set for life. When my father died, he left me a bank account just for money to use when I go to college so I have no worries about paying off loans, debts, classes, or books. I do want to get a apartment by myself, though. I can't live with my mother forever even though she would love it if I decided too.

"Darshay, break time." My manager called from the back.

I sprinted so fast out of the store and too the food court so I could get some food. Lately, I could eat a bowl of Chipotle and McDonald's in the same hour and not feel bad. I know my baby was going to be chunky because him or her loves to make mommy scarf food down her throat.

I sat down by myself with my Chipotle and quietly ate, scrolling through Instagram on my phone when someone called my name out. I looked up to see that it was Jacob.

"Yes?" I asked, finishing off my bowl.

"We need to talk." He said, sitting down in front of me.

"How did you know that I was here?"

"You mom, she told me."

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked. Inside, I was hoping that he wanted to make up, that he wanted to go back to how everything use to be. We could just forget about everything that happened between me and Chresanto. That's all I was hoping for.

"I think we should end everything between us." He said, running his fingers through his hair.

"What did you just say?"

"I said-"

"No, no, no. I heard you nice and clearly. How could you say that, Jacob? We've been together for six fucking years and you just want to throw our relationship away like that?"

"Well, yeah, Darshay. After Chresanto told me the story, I do."

"And what exactly did Chresanto tell you?"

"It all started at his cousins party, you guys had sex, he wanted to tell me, you said no, and you kept asking him for sex until he told you no senior year. Is that true?"

I gulped my drink down and looked to side. It was true.

"Exactly, that's what I thought. I thought you were better than that but obviously not. I don't want anything to do with you, just my baby if it's even mine."

"How can you fucking say that, Jacob!? It is yours, I haven't been fucking around with anyone!"

"How do I know that, Darshay? You could be lying for all I know. You did sleep with one of my homies but if it is mine I'll take care of him or her without a doubt. Text me all the doctors appointments and everything. I won't miss anything."

"But what about us, Jacob?"

"There is no us," He said, standing up. "Sorry."
