Senior Year

The First Day

I was walking to school, when I heard someone calling to me from behind "hey Jude! wait up" I turned around to find one of my best friends, Hannah, she's short with long brown hair, brown eyes and pale freckled skin she had a nose piercing, and she wore all black, except for her make up. "hey Hannah!" I replied "I haven't seen you in forever" she laughed "we just saw each other last week" I acted over dramatic "I know, it's been ages!" I said followed by a giggle.

On the way to to school we stopped at a parlor and got Hannah a frosty, so we arrived to the school a little late, making a bad first impression on our first period teacher, Mrs. Kinnler, the English teacher, who was already known to be quite a bitch at times. She looked at us as we walked in the door, "Mr. Jude and Mrs. Hannah, thank you for joining us..... finally! take a seat and be quiet" she looked at Hannah, and saw the frosty in her hands, she picked up the garbage can and walked over to Hannah "no food or beverages allowed." Hannah looked shocked and embarrassed, I could tell she wanted to pretend Mrs. Kinnler was her bedroom wall, which already has too many holes in it, but Hannah didn't want to get in trouble on the first day of school so she threw it away, I could only imagine how angry Hannah was, if that was my frosty, the bitch would have lost her hand "are you okay?" I mouthed to Hannah, she grinned "yea i don't really care" she mouthed back, after what seemed to be a life time, the bell rung signaling the end of first period, Hannah and I, walked to our lockers and got our stuff for our next classes, she had Art, I had Chemistry.

I walked into the class, the students weren't sitting and the teacher Mr. Sean hadn't started yet, so i knew i wasn't late. I found a seat to sit in and took out my favorite Stephen King book 'desperation' I started to read, I got pulled into the book, drowning out everything around me. Then something startled me by touching my shoulder, making me jump 10 feet in the air "JESUS!" I screamed everyone broke into laughter as i turned around to see Mr. Sean "nope that's not my name Jude, You know that" he said because i had him as a study hall teacher last year, I chuckled "yea! sorry Mr.Sean" I replied "It's okay Jude, just pay attention" just then someone busted through the door "Hello everyone, welcomes to you, for presenting myself in your presence" said this snob with short green hair, and blue eyes, wearing all bright colors. he looked at me "Jude?" he questioned then he stared at me "Jude!" he yelled running to me, wait a minute...? I know that snob, that's my snob! That snob was Zac B. one of my best friends from freshman year, we used to do everything together. Zac came over and sat right next to me "so whats up Judy? heh? what have you been up to" he said "nothing and you know i don't like to be called that!" i shot him a glare, Mr. Sean interrupted us by continuing the lesson. After the bell rang me and Zac walked to his locker, he had Ceramics next, and I had Gym with Mr. Dimes.

I got to the Gym, got in the locker room, got dressed, and back to the gym I went. I saw that there were no friends of mine in this class, but there was a familiar face, my ex, his name is Jayden, he's tall, he has forest green eyes, blonde hair, and he always wears the least amount of clothing that he can When I first met him, he was sweet, kind, charming, and honest, and the sex was great too. Then after a month things changed, he hardly ever talked to me at night, and during the day he would get angry and yell at me for kissing him, he said I was "too open" two months later i found out he was cheating on me, with five different guys! I found out by walking in on him having sex with another guy, we got in a big fight and he told me about all the others, I broke up with him that night. Five minutes before class was over, he looked at me i didn't realize i was staring, but i guess i had to have been, because while I was, he started walking towards me. I blinked myself back to reality, just as he approached me, I could feel my lip quiver, my legs shake, and chills running up my spine, "hey Jude" he said, I froze up, there are absolutely no words coming from my mouth "cat got your tongue" he laughs, I quickly snap out of it due to his snarkiness "no i'm just fine, although now that you're here it kinda smells bad, hence me not talking, trying to conserve my breath, that's all" I say giving hella attitude, he smirks "same attitude as last year, and the year before" he slants his mouth, and raises his eyebrows "well what did you expect, you know, after you cheated on me!" I yell in a whisper, just then the bell rang. Jayden attempted to follow me into the men's room, but Mr. Dimes called him over to talk to him about his grades in the subject of I Don't Give A Shit.

After I quickly change out of my gym clothes and into my actual clothes, I headed to my fourth period class, AP Math, with Mrs. Winell, i walked in the class and saw Hannah and Zac both sitting next to each other with in open seat right next to them, but I wasn't going to sit there, yet! I mean I couldn't waste this opportunity, I started to sneak up behind them and once I was behind them, I shouted in their ears, scaring both of them shitless! "WHAT THE HELL!" Hannah screamed while Zac screamed "FUCK ME!" I burst into laughter. Zac blushed and Hannah laughed, as did a girl I didn't recognize, with red curly hair and crystal green eyes "hey i'm Jude" I said, then motioning towards Hannah and Zac, I introduced them, "hi my names Jade, I just moved here last week" she exhaled, Hannah spoke up and said "why don't you come sit next to me, we can talk, get to know each other, and possibly be great friends" Hannah gave her a nice welcoming smile, Jade responded by saying "sure, why not" Jade, Hannah, Zac, and I passed notes the whole period, then out of nowhere the bell rang, we all picked up our books and left the room.

We all walked to the senior hall and got into our lockers and put our books away, grabbed our wallets, or purses, and checked our phones, then it was off to lunch. This was the most important part of the day, why? Because we had to choose our table, the table that will be our table for twenty-five minutes a day, for five days a week, every week, for the rest of the school year. We had to make sure it was big enough for at least seven people not too close to the garbage cans, but not too far from them either, it also couldn't be too crowded. When we got to the cafeteria the last member to our group showed up, "cody! You're here!" Hannah has a big time crush on Cody, sadly he's gay but she doesn't know, she can't know, nobody! Can know, his parents are super homophobic. Cody is now the Captain of the football team, Cody is tall, muscular, has dirty blonde hair, and brown eyes. "Hey guys where are we sitting" cody asked "anywhere now that you're Captain of the football team Whoo! Whoo!" Zac replied, Cody blushed, "okay... I guess" Cody said, cody lead us to the perfect table! Too bad there was people already sitting down. Zac looked at the people sitting at the table and told them to leave everyone left the table except one person, Ryan K. Dark, he's the tallest kid in the school he has black hair, and icy blue eyes, he stood up looked down into Zac's eyes "I'm not going anywhere unless you make me" he said standing back up crossing his arms. Zac smirked and tried to walk past Ryan to sit down, Ryan slammed his fist on the table, Zac shrieked, he looked so embarrassed, Ryan started laughing, Zac's eyes swelled up, "knock it off you jerk" both Hannah and Jade yelled in unison. Ryan started to turn around but before he could make eye contact, Cody's fist rammed into his jawline. "Come one guys this tables a mess, let's find another" Cody said while leading Zac and us to a new table. We enjoyed the rest of our lunch then went to our sixth period class.

Later that day I got called to the office, when i showed up Jade, Zac, Hannah, and RYAN! Were all in the office, i instantly knew what this was about, I looked at Ryan with a glare, then turned to Zac with confusion, I pointed to the principal's office door "Cody?" Zac nodded then sat down. Moments later the door opened, Cody stepped out "Hannah, Jade, Zac, and Jude, please come in" the principal said, we all entered the office "take a seat please" we all sat down, no one said a word the entire time only the principal spoke "I know Ryan is a bully, and was being one, and i know Cody was only defending his friends, so i wanted to tell those friends, no one is in trouble today is the first day, and there is no need to start it on a bad foot" we all smiled "you guys can head back to class now" we all stood up and started for the door "except you Jude" everyone paused, I nodded, so they continued, then after closing the door I sat down "yes sir?" I asked "when Ryan embarrassed Zac, everyone of your friends defended him, except you, why?" I felt guilty, I felt like a loser. "I don't know sir, I just... I didn't know what to do" i paused, looked down, and closed my eyes "well! Im proud of you!" he said, I sat up "you didn't intervene in a fight that you knew would get you in trouble" I smiled a little and stood up "thank you sir" I said, he stood up, shook my hand "you're welcome" I walked out, and he followed "Ryan, please come in" i heard him say from behind me but i just kept walking i went back to class and enjoyed the rest of my day.
