Best Friends?

chapter 1

(Lilly's pov)
That's Lilly BTW
You were out of town for a bit so you asked Dominic, your best friend, to house sit. He had been your best friend for a long time.
You were living in an apartment in the city. It was in a questionable area of the city but the price was good and you had added lots of homey touches. So overall it was a nice apartment. You had to be careful when leaving the apartment though. Dominic lived a couple of blocks away so you saw each other a lot.
" Hey Dom I'm back", you said tiredly.
" How was the trip", asked Dominic.
" Fine," you replied hoping he wouldn't hear the sadness in your voice.
" Good like everything went smoothly or good like everything went wrong except you didn't loose your wallet", he asked amused yet worried.
" You know me too well," I said sadly," yeah the second one".
" What happened," he asked slightly worried now.
" I ran into my ex and he..." You said trying not to cry.
" He what," he asked getting very worried now.
" He t-tried to r-rape me," you said on the brink of tears.
" That bastard" he said angrily, "I'll kick his ass."
Then he looked over at you and saw the tears. He came over and gave you a hug. You sobbed quietly into his shoulder.
" Lilly I'm so sorry," he said quietly.
" He went to jail thankfully," you said quietly while resting your head on his shoulder.
" Oh well, then I guess I won't be getting arrested for beating him up," he said.
You laughed slightly.
" Do you want me to stay," he asked.
" Yes please," you replied quietly.
"Movie?"
" Movie," you replied.
You got up and put a movie in the DVD player. Then you sat on the couch and wrapped yourself in a blanket. You watched the movie tiredly while resting your head on Dominic's shoulder. You tried to fight the sleepiness but failed and fell into a deep sleep.
( Dominic's pov)
We were watching some movie I didn't know witch. All I knew was she was laying her head on my shoulder. Just the thought gave me goosebumps. I quickly realized she had fallen asleep. I looked down at her beautiful form smiling.
She's your best friend you idiot. She isn't in love with you. You shouldn't think about her like that.
You remembered that she was asleep.
Maybe I should leave. No, she asked me to stay.
I carefully picked Lilly up, and I quietly walked to her bedroom. I gently placed her on her bed, and I pulled the covers over her and kissed her forehead .
" Good night," I said softly to her sleeping form.
I walked back to her couch and turned off the TV. I laid on the couch and fell asleep.
