A/N REDO TIME

The fence was hopped like it was meant to be. My feet landing firmly on the ground, then steadying back into a sprint. My pursuers not far behind. I pulled my hood up so that it concealed my whole head.

It was one thing trying to steal a purse, but stealing it from an ex-police woman was a whole other. With surprising speed, this woman was catching up. And she must have had a lot of friends back at the police department, because the mob that was gathering behind me didn't seem to stop.

I glanced behind me, taking in the amount of new people that had suddenly joined the chase. I heard a male voice yell into a walkie talkie,

"This is Officer Lance, I am in pursuit," Which made me run faster. I flew past muggers, homeless people and unbelievably a drunk guy in a hotdog suit. Everytime I came across a door I checked if it would open. Nothing. I searched for a possible exit out of the alleyway. Once again, nothing.

Then my feet suddenly skidded to a stop, luckily not making me slide across the wet, rain-soaked ground. Before me stood a brick wall the size of a skyscraper. The crowd behind me stopped abruptly as well. The woman I had stolen the purse from stepped forward smirking, and so did the guy who had spoken into the walkie talkie.

"Geez, kid. You got a lot of guts trying to steal from old Lucy here. Just drop the purse and we'll drop charges. There ain't nowhere to go." Except there was. It was my turn to return the smirk, as I glanced to my right and found a long pole bolted to the wall. I leapt at it, and pulled my legs up, then my arms, legs then arms. "Kid's been doing his chin-ups." Officer Lance stated. Then he got out his walkie talkie again and shouted. "He's climbing the roof, send the helicopter NOW!"

His words made me anxious, but I had no choice. I looked down, and noticed that the mob had spilt in half. Lucy and Officer Lance were gone, probably running their hearts out to get to the roof.

The top of the roof. I swung myself over the wall leading to the roof. I landed on my knees, and spun around to meet a something like a firing squad, including Lucy and Officer Lance, both of them held pistols aimed at my forehead.

"Now, there's nowhere to go. Drop the purse and put your hands behind your head." Officer Lance ordered. I abided in shame, realising that Lucy and her "buddies" were probably going to raise the charges.

Officer Lance gestured with his head to two men, holding a pair of handcuffs. "Cuff him," They nodded back, before walking behind me, and cuffing my hands together. Then Lucy took a few steps towards me, so that she was eventually right next to me.

"Well, let's see who this person really is," She said, rubbing her hands together with anticipation. I stared at the ground as I felt my red hood being pulled back. Revealing my long, brown hair. Lucy gasped, "It's a girl!"
