Once she was inside, I sighed.
"Finally!" I said. I ran up to my mum as she put the bags she was carrying down and hugged her tightly.
"How's my little girl going?" My mum asked me as if I was 5.
"MUM IM NOT LITTLE ANYMORE IM 12!" I yelled.
As my mum rolled her eyes I looked in her bags that she was carrying and saw the words
' TOP SECRET ' I was confused at what could be top secret but I just ignored it and started to tell my mum about all the things I did when she was away.
"...and that's all I did." I said quietly. 
"Wow you sure did a lot when I was away!" She said as I watched her start to cook dinner.
"Why did you have to leave so suddenly?" I asked curiously.
"Umm... I was ... err... working..." She said as I knew she was lying. Mum is always bad at lying. Maybe it had to do with the top secret thing.

Later that night, as I was watching the latest episode of buzzfeed unsolved, I heard the door bell ring. I sighed as I shouted "I'll get it!" As I was coming downstairs, I saw my mum had already opened the door and there was this weird looking man at the door asking for something. I quickly got out of sight until I saw my mother gave him the bag which had the top secret paperwork in it. I knew something was wrong. As I heard my mum slowly closing the door I ran up the stairs quietly until I heard my mum call my name. "Scarlet!" I quickly reply, "yes mum?" I then hear her call out "Could you please do the dishes?" Ugh. I hate doing the dishes.
"fine" I said wanting to finish my video.

As I was finishing the dishes, I heard my dad come out of his room which is rare. So I quickly wiped my hands on the tea towel and run upstairs until I reach my dad.
"Hey dad!" I say happily.
"Hi." My dad replies grumpily. I've never liked my dad because he doesn't like me, in fact, he probably hates me, but I have to show that I like him.

I try to make a conversation but he just ignores me so I roll my eyes and mumble " well he doesn't care anyway ". My dad then says " one day you need to grow up ". I just ignore him and put my headphones on and continue watching my buzz feed video.

In the morning, I hear my mum and dad fighting again. Jeez this is so annoying!! It's non stop fighting with them. Once they were even fighting about how white chocolate can cause cancer or not. Like seriously? Who fights about that?

I get changed and head downstairs to breakfast. I can feel the tension between my parent. Once they notice that I'm in the dining room my mum puts on a fake smile and says " Good Morning Scarlet." Whereas my dad just simply glared at me and looks somewhere else. "Hi Mum". I quickly reply just ignoring the fact that my dad just mumbled about  how I am so annoying.
