"Afina" Raphael said and she turned before fast walking over to him and hugging him her vision becoming blurry again

Raphael rubbed her back in a soothing way before turning to the stranger "Sebastian"

Sebastian nodded at his leader before turning to Afina again

"Are you sure you're ok?" When she nodded he smiled slightly not believing her "alright I'll see you around, Afina"

Raphaels lip twitched slightly in anger before pulling Afina away from him but keeping her in arms length

"What happened beautiful?" He asked and she shook her head not really knowing before tears started pooling from her eyes and Raphael pulled her into him hugging her tightly

Afina sat at the edge of Raphaels bed as he brought her a glass of blood

She grabbed it still feeling dazed trying to figure out why she was so sad and she couldn't figure it out

Maybe it was because her family didn't need her anymore maybe it was because Simon hardly talked to her maybe it was all the past memories it could have been a lot of things that were making her break and that hurt her more not knowing what was breaking her

Raphael frowned down at his girlfriend not liking how sad she was

He looked at her for a few minutes longer before his phone started ringing with a call from Simon

Groaning slightly he answered to find out that his sister took the blood he had and it was daylight and he didn't know what to do

"What do you expect me to do Simon?! It is daylight. How am I supposed to get you blood?!" Raphael growled out frustrated with the vampire

"Figure something out Simon you're smart" with that Raphael hung up and turned back to Afina who had set the still full glass down on the floor

Raphael sat down next to her putting his hand on her knee

"Raphael what's wrong with me" Afina choked looking at Raphael her eyes watery

"Nothing! Absolutely nothing. You are perfect" Raphael said moving so he was kneeling in front of her

"Then why do I feel so unwanted?" She asked tears falling from her eyes

"Afina where is this coming from you were ok this morning" Raphael looked at her as she scoffed slightly

"I was never ok! I don't think I ever was. Ever sense I was able to think all I wanted to know was why my biological mom didn't want me and why my adoptive mom didn't want me, why Alec, Izzy or Jace didn't want me at first" Afina said now realizing what was breaking her inside

"Afina that's not true" Raphael tried to reason

"It is! I'm dead inside literally and figuratively, I don't know why this is happening to me now" Afina struggled to breath and Raphael looked at her necklace that looked a little different then before

Raphael reached for the clip and unhooked it immediately making Afina take a deep breath before facing Raphael

"What the hell did that necklace do to me?" Afina pointed at the necklace in Raphaels hand

"I don't know someone must've put a spell on it" Raphael said putting the necklace on a drawer he had in his room before walking back over to Afina "are you ok?"

"Ya" she nodded knowing that was she was slightly lying

Raphael nodded before pulling her into a hug again and Afina couldn't help but think of the stranger from before

"Raphael who was that guy I ran into?" She asked and Raphaels jaw clenched

"Sebastian, he's newish" Raphael stated leaving it simple not wanting Afina to know more about the vampire

Afina nodded resting her head on Raphaels chest taking in his scent at he rocked her slowly back and forth

It had been getting late when Afina realized she didn't have her phone she searched her pockets and Raphaels room but coming up short

"Raphael I think I dropped my phone out in the main room I'll be right back" without waiting for an answer she walked to the main room looking around before hearing a voice

"Looking for this?" Afina turned around to see Sebastian holding up her phone

"Yes actually" she laughed walking up to him and grabbing her phone from his outstretched hand

"So are you and Raphael together?" He asked and Afina raised and eyebrow

"Ya we are" she couldn't help but notice the slight sadness when she said that "why?"

"Cause friends don't usually get that defensive over there friends" he said avoiding answering her question of 'why' which Afina didn't notice

"Well I mean I think they would be more protective if they were there friend" Afina smiled as he laughed lightly

"Ok well they get defensive in a different kind of way how about that?" Sebastian asked sarcastically making Afina chuckle before it fell silent between them

"I should go-" they both stopped talking laughing before Sebastian started talking first

"I should go, I was gonna go walk around before daylight" he said and Afina nodded

"I should get back to Raphael" Afina said smiling up at him one last time before they walked past each other to there destination

When she got back to the room she closed the door walking over to the drawer with the necklace. Picking it up she examined it when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her

"Do you really feel like that?" Raphael said looking at the necklace she was holding

"Feel like what?" Afina glanced at Raphael to see him giving her a look and she breathed out a chuckle "ya"

"I promise I will do my best to never have you feel like that again ok?" Afina turned in his arms looking him in the eye

"Promise?" She asked

"Promise"
