I sit there listening to the noise on the radio. My boots sitting on my desk as I look through the typical paperwork, requested leaves, funding, supplies, shipments, and all this happy crap. A strong knock hammers my door.

"Red leader, entry requested."

"Come in." I say looking up from a recent report.Patryk walks in his tall, stalky form stands in front of my overtly large desk with a moderate stack of paper only about 1,000 pages or so. I sigh at the idea of more paperwork.

"Red leader it's not what you think, I did a survey, and most of the results were the same."

"Yeah, what was it on?"

"Well, umm,... I did the survey on what would make you easier to believe in or make them think this empire last the longest."I nodded, giving him permission to continue.

"Well, about 67% say something along the lines of a consort or lover."

"What about the rest?"

"Umm about 1% was arrested for something along the lines of 'this empire shouldn't of happen to begin with. 15% said less domestic problems, such as divorces, abuse and so on. 9% say calmer restrictions on the general population, surprisingly 5% say nothing in a good way, 3. Something percent say more education, and that almost 1% nothing in a bad way."

"Not bad. I mean it could be worse I could be stuck having to do a shit ton of paperwork over a revolt." I say with a shrug, looking back to my reports.

"Sir are you going to think about the results at all?"

"Probably not..." I say not looking up from my paperwork in my hand.

"Sir I suggest you should, I think a co-ruler or a lover would be a good idea. Someone to lean on, someone to relax with, you know some nice company."

"Any good points in there?" I say drier than the paper in my hand.Patryk releases a tired breath.

"Someone to fuck senseless, someone to dump unwanted work on such as paperwork or domestic affairs."

"That sounds more appealing."

"So you like the idea sir?"

"Yeah sounds like fun."

"I'm going to assume you're gonna have me deal with it because it's my idea."His posture goes from "this is an okay job" to " I need a raise for this shit."

"Oh yeah sucker."

"Okay sir I will have a portfolio to you by the end of the week with suitable candidates, any suggestions on type?"

"Smart, fit, nothing against me, and a decent ass to boot."

"Ok I shall leave you to your work or should give you this to read through?"

"Shred that shit. Why the hell would I wanna look at it. You are excused. "

"Yes sir. " Patryk says before he walks out of my office.

The door shuts with a click, I pull out a Cuban and light up the thick cigar. Capturing Cuba was my favorite idea.I consider the page in front of me, I've finished today's paperwork a while before Patryk walked in. The rest if I finish before Saturday I'll be fine. But it's not often that I'm productive like this. I sigh, setting the stark white sheet on its respective stack. I walk to the wide bullet proof glass doors that lead to the balcony. Platoons doing basic drills in the yard, kicking up chunks of sod with each still step. Man I need to go out sometime, well maybe tonight will work . I throw the idea around about putting on some civilian clothes and going for a drink. I haven't had a chance in a while, upgrading my arm and paperwork. I don't show on the tele that much so I don't think many will recognize me. But Paul would lose his shit over my leave of absence. That would be hilarious. I smirk as I leave my office to walk through my fine base. After I set my destination in my mind muscle memory sets in taking me the walk to my secluded room. Two guard on each side of my door, with a practiced motion they open the doors for me. No one has truly seen my sleeping quarters, with a vast greeting room filled with luxurious red seating surrounds a grand fireplace while leaving space and not giving your back to the door I am walking through. My simple bed with silky sheets is cleaned, changed and made each morning by me. When I'm sick, though is very seldom, I get up and go it the infirmary. I'm too paranoid to let anyone see the layout of where I sleep, the designers long gone and unknown.

I walk to the large double door closet and open it wide, I don't have that much civilian clothes, a few shirts and even lesser pants. My signature red hoodie calls to me like an old lover, I grab it a tank top and some plain jeans. I lay them on my bed as I strip, when I have my pants on I stop to look out my tinted window looking out on the vast city outside the base gate, the sun set about twenty minutes ago, the lights making their existence known in an array of colors. The beauty always amazing, sunrises are also quite beautiful too. After a few minutes I continue putting on my shirt. I change my boots out for a pair of olds sneakers. I take a breath, then stick my phone in my pocket along with my wallet containing my civilian I.D. and a chuck of bills. I smooth out the front of my hoodie and pull up the hood, to discourage any conversations. As I walk out of my room I walk up to the right of the room the doorway with shelves of books on each side leads to my personal armory. I settle for a simple Beretta M9, clipping its holster to my belt, pulling the hoodie down to cover most of it. The hoodie looser around my waist than before and tighter around the arm not that my red arm has changed that much in the last 10 years. I brush it off as typical lack of junk food. I relax my walk and head out. As I walk through one of the doors I bark a"Heading out, standard procedures, a message for Paul if he catches on. ' You may stick Patryk's dick back were it don't shines.'" Both men freeze not willing to break procedures to laugh at the horrendous comment. Both turning red in doing so,"Moments like that is when you're aloud to let go boys." Left releases his smothered chuckle first, right following suits.I walk away and out, no one notices me walking out, wow a totally normal thing for a random person to walk around out of uniform, carrying a gun. That or they obviously know it's me, I don't know which I'd rather have. Well the clothes I'm in are rather comfy, I think I'll put some casual Fridays in place.
