26. Hunger

"Excuse me, " a voice said.

Can't I just eat it silence and with out disturbance?

Agad akong napatingin sa gilid kung saan nanggaling ang boses.

'Yong taga serve lang pala. May dala itong salad.

"Umhh...sa inyo po...to...diba?" Huh? Is he scared?

"Ahhh Enxy?" tawag pansin sa'kin ni Lav na kaharap ko ngayon sa mesa. Napatingin ako sa kanya and she was pointing at my hands.

Kaya pala, masyadong mahigpit ang pagkakahawak ko sa kutsara at tinidor. Nagmumukha tuloy akong papatay ng tao.

Consideration please, I'm hungry.

"Yeah," I said to him while loosening my grip. Ngumite lang ito saka umalis.

I continued my dismayed ingestion.

"Ang harsh mo kanina do'n sa babae Enxy, nakikipagfriend lang e," pasimula ni Lav ng usapan.

"She's not friendly, she's a snake in disguise," sagot ko pabalik sa pagitan ng aking pagnguya. "Ask Jed, I'm eating."

"Aist? Ano naman ang connect ni Jed do'n?" reklamo pa nito.

"She's my Ex bestfriend," mahinang sambit ni Jed. Napatakip naman sa bibig ng palad si Lav.

"No worries. It's already in the past," said Jed and smiled again.

She's really good in pretending, magaling siyang magpabago-bago ng emosyon when in truth she's hurting right now.

"Then you should move on and leave it there," I commented. She looked at me and   nodded.

"Girls! Look who's here," a voice, a bit bitchy said.

"The Flirt of Lauriel University. Sobrang nagpapapansin sa grupo nina Liam. Do you all remember the Thanks giving Festival? Aba, if I know, she paid for the wedding booth. Para malandi niya si Liam," she added.

I remained silent because I want to focus on eating.Gutom ako.

"Oh? Speechless ka? Kasi alam mong totoo? Kasi ang landi-landi mo talaga"

I stopped eating upon hearing that.

"Lavender, Jed, are we in a circus? Why am I seeing clowns here?" I stated without enthusiasm.

"Are you telling me that I am a clown?" galit na saad nito.

"Are you deaf? Did I say that YOU are a clown? " my reply was pointed. Mas lalong nainis ang kausap ko.

"Bitch! Kung maka-asta ka akala mo kung sino ka! Malandi! Pangit!Wala ka namang maipagmamalaki. Magaling ka lang talaga sigurong mang gayuma ng lalaki. But you're nothing but a beggar!" sigaw nito.

A beggar? Malandi? Pangit?This lady is sick.

"Uhm me? Nah! The Flirts are beside you and that also includes you," saad ko. Tsk, this girls are lacking fabrics. Halos lumabas na ang kaluluwa nila sa damit na suot.

"Perhaps this will make you understand," galit na wika nito sabay dampot ng inumin ko at ibinuhos sa'kin.

Why stick in this kind of bullying. Really? Nothing better?

"Oh my gosh Enxy," Lav said panicking. Jed even stood up to wipe my wet face but I stopped them and motioned them to sit.

"Sweetie, is that all you got? Let me show you how it SHOULD be done," I told her. Kinuha ko ang pagkain nina Lav at Jed  at walang pasabing ibinuhos ito sa kanya.
