My name is Lucinda lane and I just turned 16. I feel normal but I know I'm not, I'm not popular or cool.... I'm a band nerd, Flute player to be exact. I have brown hair, green eyes and olive skin. This is my story.

My best friend Clair was supposed to come by my house this morning so we could walk to school together. We had to be to school by 6:15 to go to marching practice but she was a no show. I had to walk to school alone and when I got there I found Clair under the bleachers with her boyfriend, Making out.
Her boyfriend lance is one of our two drum majors and of course clair is the other drum major, They met at band camp last summer and have been dating ever since. When I walked up to Clair and lance, they were in the middle of a hardcore make out session. I leaned against a pillar and cleared my throat. "Oh oops" Clair exclaimed pushing lance back and giving me a blushing "didn't know you were there" type smile. She turns to lance gives him a peck on the mouth and told him goodbye and we took off towards the locker room to get our uniforms on. "Lucinda!!" One of my friends kaitlyn yelled as I walked into the hallway. "I know someone who likes you" she boasted. "Who?" I thought outloud "Quinn Kane" she smirked " he's cute but he is a jerk" "He wants to ask you out" Kaitlyn responded "I'm going to say no" I told her
"Ok just wanted to warn you" she said, somewhat dissapointed. We finished getting dressed and left the locker room. We went to practice, thinking about what Kaitlyn had said. After practice I walked back to the locker room and right by the door stood Quinn Kane, waiting to talk to me.
