Naina's POV:

Bunny held my hand as we went towards the car and we drove off to an unknown place.

"Where are we going Bunny?"

"You'll see,"

"Err...."

"Alright alright, hold your horses!"

I saw the car driving into a large driveway, even bigger than Bunny's house.

"Woah, what's this mansion for?"

He quickly parked and scurried across to my door and offered me a hand, like a gentleman.

A door.

Woah. It was massive.

"Damn that door though,"

"You're fascinated by the door?" He laughed unbelievably.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, a girl like you is interested in a door?! Alright then."

I saw him pressing his lips together to stop his laugh escaping.

I gave him the look.

"Okay, ready - 1 2 3......"

I gasped. About a hundred people were in this room, dressed in formal suits and gowns, holding a drink in their hands.

"NAINNNAAA!"

A figure ran up to me and hugged me so hard that I felt like a squished jelly bean.

The same light brown locks.

"ADITI!!!! OH MY GOSH AND AVI TOO WHAT THE HECK?!" I gasped in surprise while I saw Bunny standing and smiling honestly with his hands in his pockets.

"You did this all for...... for me?"

Idiot.

That sounded cheesy.

I noticed all these people were watching, but I didn't recognize even one of them because of my amnesia.

"Who are these pe....."

"..... you don't know who that fatto is? You gotta be kidding me?" Aditi stared at me like I was speaking Japanese.

"Err.....maybe because of my amnesia -"

"Sucks to your amnesia," she shrugged and dragged me over to a guy whom she called "fatto".

"Arre yaar - remember we shipped him with that fat lady we saw on the way to Manali in the train?!"

"Ohh...." I pretended I knew but inside I felt left out and lost. A sad emotion swirled up in me.

"But - Aditi can you please tell me what this is all about???"

"Uh uh," she shook her head. "It's a surprise." She winked and walked over to Avi, giving him a sturdy slap for drinking one too many.

I smiled and tried to find Bunny. Where was he?

Suddenly, a low tune began playing on a piano.
Everyone stopped talking and turned round to face a stage decked up with silvery colors and decoration.

The lights dimmed to a gentle, dim pink.

"They say there isn't a right time for marriage. Marriage is like 'daal chaaval' for 50 years. Ain't it true Naina?"

A voice spoke in the dark.

I smiled to myself while I remembered something similar at Aditi's engagement party a few years ago.

This guy was amazing.

"Maybe I've changed my mind," he continued.

"I've decided that today, and today itself, I will talk about my proposal to the world. Never thought I would be doing this but....."

His voice became teary.

"I love you Naina."

By now, a few tears dropped down my cheeks and trickled down my lips which had a cute smile plastered on my face.

What a happy but emotional moment.

The spotlights focused on him and he came up to the edge of the stage while everyone made way for me to walk up to him.

He picked me up in his arms and lifted a shocked me onto the stage.

Balloons and confetti was tossed from random places and fell neatly onto my decorated hair.

He drew a small velvet box from his inner blazer pocket and went down on his knees.

"Will you marry me Naina?"

His solemn, anticipating eyes stared into mine as I just stood there; stunned.

For a moment, it was as if the wire connecting me to Earth had been cut.

What had he just said?

Before I could speak, I slowly moved my hand forwards, towards his.

When I saw the smile appearing on his face, that's when I realized what I was doing.

My hand stopped moving just before it touched his and I just blinked at him, tears welling up in my eyes.

He looked a bit surprised. He stood up and before I knew it, I thrust my arms tightly around his shoulders.

I was crying.

His hand stroked the back of my hair and he rubbed my back gently.

"I love you, I love you...." I couldn't help but whisper in his ear as he snuggled up on my neck.

The "awwwws and ooohs" from the guests made us break from our hug and I saw a happy smile on everyone's face.

So this was the surprise.

Yessss finally I was getting married to him!
