THE DANCER

I am searching for you in a crowded room,
There you are, standing, wearing that beautiful smile my eyes had ever seen.
There is rage inside me,
Wanting to explode so you can see
How yourself unsettle me..

In the crowded room you asked
"Let's dance" ,
I am weary, scared and unsteady
How could someone do this to me?
Emotions are battling from deep inside me.

I glanced at the mirror,
Scanning the reflection of someone I used to hide.
It's been hidden for awhile.
And yet there is you who let it out,
In just a blink of an eye.

I don't know how to dance,
But I glady said yes for the meantime.
The music started playing.
I am a bit scared cause I know it will end.
"Relax" you said.
So I dance as you have said.

Harmoniously,
Soothingly,
It was beautiful at first,
Then I missed step,
You go right, I stayed left
You stepped left, I went right.

You managed to stay still,
When I am nervously swaying.
In the middle of the song,
The rhythm changed

It was messy,
It was awful,
It was heart breaking,
The grip was loosing..
Trying to reached out for your hands.
But you are fading.

What went wrong? I don't know.
I looked into your eyes and asked
"Can we dance again?"
In your hesitation I found my answer,
Yeah I know I'm a lousy dancer.
