~Darcy's POV~

I'm flying from Nevada to California. I was going to stay with the McCue family, to set a good example for they're 15 year old son Chris. I'm not even a 'good kid'. I mean, yeah, I don't drink or do drugs but I don't help out around the house or listen to my parents one-hundred percent of the time. I've gotten written up three times this year at school for skipping class or talking back to the teacher. My mom signed me up for this stupid program about two months ago because she thought it would be a good idea for me to help kids my age. And the worst part is, I didn't get a say in any of it.

"We will be landing soon, please buckle your seat belts." Said a feminine robot voice over the speakers. I buckled my seat belt and prepared myself for a new life.

I got off the plane and saw a woman with a boy about 15 standing a few yards away. The woman was holding a sign with my name on it. I walked over to them.

"Hi, I'm Darcy, are you the McCue family?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm Sarah and this is Chris." Sarah said as she gave a hug, Chris just looked up at me and gave a little wave, then looking back down at his phone. Chris had dark brown hair with bright blue eyes. He wasn't pale, but he wasn't tan either. He was wearing worn out jeans and a grey coat. Sarah had blonde hair, probably dyed, with brown eyes. She was wearing a floral shirt and slacks, like she was going to work or some sort of meeting.

"Chris, put your phone away." She scolded. He shoved his phone in his pocked while rolling his eyes.

"Let's go to the car, and thank you for coming, I'm sure you'll be a huge help." Sarah said. We walked to a navy blue truck. I sat in the back with Chris.

"Here are the rules at our house, they shouldn't be a problem for you but if you're with Chris and he breaks any of these rules I need to know immediately" Sarah said as she handed me a notebook. I open it and start reading the rules in my head.

I added all the numbers to my phone then shoved it in my bag.

"If you need anything or have any questions, feel free to ask." Sarah told me.

"Okay, I will." I told her. It was silent for a few seconds.

"You two get to know each other." She told us.

"So...Where you from?" Chris said, unenthusiasticly.

"Nevada." I responded.

"Cool." He replied.

"Do you have any pets?" I asked.

"Not allowed, you?"

"I have a dog back at home, his name is Frisk."

"Cool." He was eyeing me. Looking up and down at every inch of my body, smirking. I wasn't sure if I should say anything to Sarah, but I didn't. We pulled into the garage of a big, tan house. I got out of the car and walked towards Sarah.

"Chris help her with her bags." She scolded.

"No, I'm fine really" I said.

"No, he needs to learn to be a gentleman." She said. Chris took my bags. We were led to a room upstairs.

"In a way, you and Chris will be sharing a room. There is a sliding wall in between the two sides of the room, the only time the door will be out is when you are sleeping, or changing." She told me. I glanced over at Chris, he had a small smirk on his face.

"I'm going to leave you two here to really get to know each other." She announced as left, shutting the door behind her. It was quiet for around a minute, we listened to her footsteps get quieter as she went downstairs.

"Are you actually a goody-two-shoes?" He asked. I laughed.

"No, I've already gotten 3 write ups, but I don't do drugs or anything." I told him as I unpacked my bags.

"So are you going to tell on me for every little thing I do?" He asked.

"No, but I don't know how you're going to get away with anything." I replied. He took down a poster from some video game, to reveal a hole in the wall, stashed with beer and marijuana. My jaw dropped.

"If you say anything..." He threatened.

"I'm not going to say anything, just don't do it around me." I said.

"Alright fine." He replied. He put the poster back up as if nothing was there.

"So what other rules are you breaking?" I asked.

"Almost all of them." He told me. I glanced at the clock, it was 5:20 pm. I plugged my phone charger into an outlet next to my bed.

"You're not allowed to have phones in the bedroom." He said as he walked over and unplugged my charger and tossed it on my bed. Sarah came back upstairs and opened the door.

"Dinner's ready, were having soup." She told us, we all went downstairs and sat at the dining table.

"So how was your flight Darcy?" She asked me.

"It was okay, nothing special." I told her. She nodded to show she understood. The rest of dinner was just her asking me about myself. When we finished it was around 6 pm. Sarah told us to do the dishes then get ready for bed. I washed the dishes and Chris dried and put them away. Sarah then gave me a quick tour around the house, showing me where everything was. She then took our phones and we went to bed.
