-The Unnamed Man's POV-

The day it hit me was January 28, 2077. I was going to be a father. As a middle aged working man, not expecting to be a great father was standard. Would the kid be able to call me 'dad'? Or would he just call me 'mr.' by my last name? This is what I feared.
Fear often got the best of me, claiming my attention and mind. As an incoming father, I would eventually need to overcome this fear... or at least lessen it? My mind ran wild when my wife, Nora, said those words.
"I'm pregnant!" She exclaimed. Not expecting that to come out of nowhere, I asked her to clarify.
"I said I'm pregnant! Isn't that exciting? You're going to be a father!" Not wanting to explain my fears, I avoided the question.
"Well, how do you feel about this, Nora?"
"I've ALWAYS wanted to be a mother! It's my dream job. More than I wanted to be your wife!" I thought about her answer for a moment, and decided on how I felt; I was going to stay posotive. For Nora, and for our child. I wouldn't want to fail her. Ever since this day, I've been doing all the research I could; reading the books, searching the library, asking my friends. I can't let Nora down.

---

It was October 2. She was due in a few weeks, so of course I was preparing the child's room. We decided on Shaun, as it was going to be a boy. All this time, the person who seemed the most excited was, to my surprise, not Nora. It was our household robot, or "robot butler", as my friends all called it.

-Codsworth's POV-

Oh, joy! Master is going to be a human father! I hope he isn't bothered by me helping. After all, I am programmed to help around the house, and a child is a large responsibility. I pray, metaphorically, that Master will be a sufficient father to Shaun. I will, of course, tend to the child's needs. Oh, happiest day!

-Unnamed Man's POV-

It's October 3. Our baby was born early, much to the doctors', Nora's, Codsworth's, and even my surprise. I held him before anyone else... as my life has gone through a drastic change.

This is the first time I've ever felt any emotion other than fear, it feels... happy.
