Watching the Clock Tick By

Waiting is a sort of game

Though it's not the best

Keeping silent is like making a lion tame

Some are better than the rest

They say an hour of silence makes people insane

Twenty four, and they go mad

Finding a distraction in your brain

Seeing what you'll wish you never had

Writing is a welcome distraction

As you start to open your mind

Finally, you've gained some mental traction

Before you hear a voice from behind

You wake up in your classroom

And you begin to feel shy

Now that you're away from doom

Bored, and watching the clock tick by
