The Search for the what now? part 2

Noctis pov

Nonsense.

What I'm seeing couldn't be explain right now. A big chocobo changing colors in one of the rooms that my kids found. Please tell this is a nightmare...

"Well, it's a chocobo alright. Changing colors; exciting!" (y/n) said as I gave her a look of 'are you serious', she looked at me and nodded.

"Kids...How did this chocobo get into the room?" I asked as my eyes saw them looking at each other and explained. Apparently, the chocobo came from the gardens in it's small form and they found it. Then they chased the chocobo all the way here. I rubbed my temples to think of something to get rid of this chocobo because the staff will be shocked to see a color changing chocobo and the press might come in the palace as well to get a story about the creature.
Why me? I thought as my wife approached the chocobo, her fingers stroked the color feathers and the chocobo purred of her petting it. Suddenly, light engulfed the chocobo as the creature shrink to a toy size form and the light vanished. My children and I looked at my wife in confusion of what just happened. 

"I asked the chocobo to shrink so, no one would make a fuss about a big chocobo." (F/n) answered our question
"What do you mean, mom?" Layth asked curiously as he and Cira went to (f/n), the mini chocobo flew into her hands and I went to my wife while studying this chocobo.
"I talk to animals, silly. I told you both yesterday during our lesson with your uncle Ignis."
"Oh, yeah! Mom talks to animals!!"
"Mommy talk to animals!" Cira said excitedly as she smiled at our children and I mentally facepalmed myself forgetting the skill my wife possesses. How can I forget something so important?

"Can we have chocobie??"
"Cira, we can't keep a chocobo here. He probably belongs to someone." I answered as Cira pouted and whined,
"Keep chocobie! Keep chocobie!"
"Yeah, dad! We can keep the legendary chocobo!" Layth said encouraging me to say 'yes, we keep the chocobo', I sighed and (f/n) giggled.
"Kids, the chocobo needs space to be free and eat. We don't have anything if that here. Let's find a great place for the chocobo to call home. How about that?" (F/n) said as the kids thought about it and said ok. I sighed in relief that the kids were going to let the chocobo go. The kids lead us to we're they found the chocobo and saw its nest near the tree trunk. The mini chocobo rubbed it's wings as the feathers repeated flapped and the chocobo is...actually flying. The chocobo landed on the nest to take some berries in it's mouth and ate it. The kids were happy as they followed the flying chocobo that flew above us a bit and flew away into the sky. The kids waved good-bye to the flying chocobo as we all went back inside and headed to the living room. In the evening time, we had dinner with Ignis, Prompto, Nyx and Gladiolus. The talk about getting a chocobo in future. I had to give in because my kids were not going let that die; having a flying chocobo for a pet but maybe. Their uncles were questioning about the chocobo they saw and the kids were saying that the chocobo is real. I had to tell them it is true and they got my case of not seeing the legendary chocobo. How is that my fault? After dinner, (f/n) and I tucked the kids into bed for they had quite the fun for the day. As we left the room, we walked into our room that is next door to them and got ready for bed. 

"Man, talk about bizarre. A flying color-changing chocobo? What are the odds of seeing that?" I said as I fell to the bed facing down and (f/n) replied,

"Aw, come on, Noct. It was fun seeing a chocobo that can fly and changes colors. As for the odd; it's a rare sighting."

"Really?" I asked as I turned my body to face (f/n) as she sat on the bed, she wore a long pink nightgown that seem to glow in the moon's shine and her (long/short hair) is down. 

"Really, it's said that if you see a rare chocobo, it brings luck."

"Hmm, I'm already lucky, (f/n)."

"You are?" (f/n) said as I pulled her into my chest, her arms wrapped around my neck and our faces were inches away

"Yes, I have the most adventurous children on the planet with four crazy uncles." I said as she inched closer to my face and I continued, "I have the most beautiful wife in all of Eos that is you, (y/n)."

After that being said, she kissed me on the lips and I kissed back returning the love that is given. We let go after the need for air and fell asleep together without letting go.

Sorry for the late update on this part. I hope you like it. I'm not good at romantic endings, so I tried something different. I hope you will continue to read the rest of the fanfics I will post or update. Thank you.
