Most of Sasha's story is fictional, however it is based in fact in some ways. Although Sasha actually doesn't have "artificial beauty", nowadays this is sort of possible due to technological and medical innovation although very rare.
In a treatment called in-vitro fertilization (when babies have to be produced literally manually) scientist and medical people can manipulate many factors of a baby. For example how athletic you are, or how you look.
But then comes this big question, is it right to choose your babies features? Shouldn't babies be born "naturally", so that they are truly "themselves"? I don't have answers to these questions, because it really depends. What I think is really important is that people stop judging themselves and others by how they look, their background and their past. People need to let go and -idk - I guess...just live.
So go on go live!
