⠀⠀⠀⠀the three brothers stood side by side at the entrance to the castle where they would be living for a little while. each with a different girl that they could not get out of their minds, and a sheer determination to make it back to her. because only one brother would come out of this castle alive, and each boy prayed that it would be him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀the quickening was the time after beltane where the three brothers fought to the death while living together in a castle the king would soon live in. the event could last for days, or years. however long it took for one brother to be the survivor.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀a loud screech startled the three as the gates swung open from the inside. and without a look at one another, the brothers marched into the castle, prepared for whatever destiny lied before them.
