Ally's POV

We continue walking home and I feel Chase's gaze on me. Finally, I stop and pivot my way to face him. "What?" I ask. He continues to stare and Akila keeps on walking. I roll my eyes "If you aren't giving me a reason then--" he cuts me off my kissing me gently on the lips. "Do you love me?" he asks. I laugh and realie he is serious. My smile turns to a loving frown. "Of course" I answer back. "Really because I saw the way you stared at Liam's dead body and it didn't look like nothing to me" he shouted with anger in his eyes.

"Ok I admit Liam and I had a history but that was a long time ago, before you were my mate. Before Akila was his. Before I moved in with Jake."

"What do you mean?" he asks

I sigh before saying "He was my boyfriend, my neighbor, my only friend until I was five and Dani moved in but we all were a big clique and he loved me. I loved him. His dad got a job here and he moved, I became depressed and when mom died I moved here and we became friends again but nothing more."

He nods his head before jerking it back forward catching up to his sister leaving me behind. I deside to switch to my wolf and I run full speed home on all fours.

Chase's POV

So the truth came out.

Liam and Hannah had a history together and she kept it from me this long. I walk along side my shuffling sister, just looking at her depression made me depressed. I place a gentle arm around her shoulder and she flinches before feeling comfortable. Her tiny shape trembled in fear, her neck hot as a fire. Her eyes full of leaking tears slowly dripping down her pale vampire face.

Her black hair lay stranded on her chest, knotted and tangled. I couldn't help but pull her up into my arms to carry her the rest of the way home. I know how she is after crying, her legs give out and her feet sting in pain. It was coming.

I watch ahead at the setting sun, walking normal pace. Slowly I place Akila on the ground in ftront of a row of flowers so I could reach into my bag and pull out my sketchbook. I take off my black leather jacket and put it on akila so the night air wouldn't cause her to sulk in coldness.

she gave me a thankful smile and

played down on her back gazing at the stars forming above. Slowly, she falls asleep on the grass clutching my jacket like a teddy bear and curled up in a ball.

Her innocence was one of many. But unusual in a family of vampires. Our life was split up now. It was Me and Akila, Jacob and Dani, Marcello by himself and Ally by herself.

I sigh in sorrow and plunk my sketchbook back into the bag zipping it tightly and laying beside Akila. I wrap an arm around my sister and fell asleep in the most of night.
