Zach is seen as the well known "weird kid" at his high school. He doesn't talk much and has no friends. A VERY shitty excuse to call someone weird. Zach also lives alone, other than his parents coming home sometimes for an hour or two in the early morning, and then leaving again for work. So for the most part, all he really has is me.
My name is Mya, and i am in the long, painstaking process of getting Zach's ass out of bed. "Zach... Zach?!" This is the worst part of the day. "Hey sleeping beauty, WAKE. UP." I grab him by the legs and yank him out of his bed.
"Huh, what?" Zach mumbles drowsily. "Why'd you pull me out of my god damn bed." He stood up and walked slowly to the dresser. "You do know it's painful, right?" All he really wears is jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, and flannels. "Uh, Mya?"
"Yes, sunshine?" I said staring at him as I take a seat on the end of his bed. Zach turned his head and looked at me with squinting eyes "Where in the hell is my favorite flannel?" He tore through his dresser drawer trying to find the thing. "Well," I started "YOU were the one that was supposed to do the wash yesterday. And don't even blame it on me since I didn't remind you."
"Oh..." Zach took a pause and just stared at the laundry pile in the corner of the room. "Fuck." He took out a random t-shirt and put it on. "This will have to do for now. I'll do laundry tonight, okay?" He put on the rest of his outfit and went to brush his teeth. Meanwhile I went downstairs to fix a bowl of cereal for him. After I was done, I opened each curtain and took a seat on the couch. It was a silent morning and it felt like it was going to be a calm day. It was... Different, you could say. There is usually a suffocating atmosphere in the house but, not today.
