almost a year and a half later. . .

"Yes Tyler, I'm right out front.
Yes out front of the airport,
where else?
Ok ok, I'm sorry.
Alright, I think I see you.
Yeah, alright bye." I hung up
the phone and extended the
handle of my suitcase.
Tyler's car pulled up and I
hopped in before he held up
all the traffic.

"What's up dude!" Tyler gave
that big dimpled smile I missed
so much.
I hadn't seen him in about
six months since he visited
me at my new home.

"Nothing much, I missed you
a whole lot." I smiled back.

"Me too.
We all missed you actually.
Tomorrow, we meet with
everyone for rehearsals."

"Sounds good.
Can't believe your wedding
is finally happening.
They grow up so fast." I fake
cried and wiped a fake tear.

"You're still so dramatic.
Anyways, I know right!
I feel like the engagement was
waaay too long." he chuckled.

"You guys only extended it for
like three or four months Ty,
calm down."

"Three or four months that the
love of my life could have
already been my wife.
Love is a crazy thing Josh."

"I know." I looked down to my
lap and remembered the
memories I left behind.

"How is she?" I had to ask.

"Not good.
I think she got over her worse
state but she hasn't gotten any
better either." Tyler looked at
me sympathetically before
focusing on the road again.

"I still hate myself for what
I did to her."

"There's not much you could
have done Josh.
Either way, you had to go.
It was for her safety."

"I know but I wish it didn't
have to be like that." I shook
my head and sighed.

"Let's not worry about her
right now ok?
Try to focus on the fact that
you're here and that we're all
really excited to see you,
especially Brendon but I told
him I will forever have dibs."

"Aw cute." I patted Tyler's
hand and we both laughed.

"Hey can we go get food
because I am seriously
starving." I rubbed my stomach.

"Taco Bell?" Tyler smirked.

"Are you sure about the wedding?
I'm still available Tyler."

"Oh gosh." his voice cracked.

"I'm just kidding but yeah, Taco
Bell sounds good."
He nodded and we stayed quiet
for a bit before Tyler broke the
silence once again.

"It's good to have you back."

"Welcome to my new home.
Well it's not new to us anymore
but it's new to you." Tyler
smiled as we stepped inside
the home he bought with Jenna.
It had a nice living room
area with a big kitchen, that
included a bar.
They had two full sized
bedrooms and a hallway closet
and of course a bathroom.

"This is really nice." I set my
bags down and looked around.

"Yeah, I can't wait to spend
the rest of my life with the woman
I love in our first little home."

"Little?" I chuckled.

"Well we do want kids Josh.
If we had more than one, I think
we'd switch out to a bigger
place to get them their own room.
For privacy ya' know."

"I can only imagine a bunch
of little Tys and Jens running
all over the place.
Speaking of Jenna, where is
she?" I asked as Tyler and I carried
my stuff into the spare room I'd
be staying in for two weeks.

"She's having a girls night with
Caitlyn and Sarah."

"Caitlyn, really?" I knew that
they knew each other but not
close enough to actually hang
out on their own.

"Uh, yeah." his eyes flickered
to the wall, then to the ground.
He was hiding something.

"Tyler." I crossed my arms.

"What?" he furrowed his
eyebrows to make it seem like
he didn't know what I was
talking about.

"Why is Caitlyn with Jenna?"

"I told you Josh, Noah was
and is in bad shape ok?
She started smoking marijuana
instead of just cigarettes, she
drinks a lot more, her tagging
is all over the place, and she's
dating some rich kid that's an even
bigger mess than she is.
Caitlyn and her just drifted
apart after a while.
They're still friends, but nothing
like they used to be."

"I bet her parents aren't so happy
they sent me away after all." I
rolled my eyes.
I was hurt though.
It hurt me to hear that what I
did had such a big domino effect
on the people around me.
It also hurt me to hear that Noah
was in a relation ship with a guy
like that, but then again, I had
no right to say anything.

"Actually, they're completely
satisfied with the choice they made.
Noah is a total wreck, but she's
doing her part in the family
business, she's actually going to
take it over soon.
She's dating a guy as rich as she
is and even though they're both
bad, as long as it's not publicized,
her parents don't even care."
Tyler looked saddened by his
own words.
I couldn't blame him.
Noah went on a complete spiral
down after I left.

"This rich guy she's with, what's
his name?" I asked as I
stuffed some clothes in drawers.

"I think his name is like Rick
or Rich, something like that."
Tyler cringed at the thought
of the guy.

"How ironic." I sighed.

"So you wanna grab a bunch
of junk food and watch movies
on the couch?" I changed
the subject once I was all done
putting everything away.

"Just like old times?" Tyler's
eyes practically sparkled
at the idea.

"Just like old times." I smiled.

"Let's go Joshy." he wrapped
his arm around my shoulder
and we went out to the living
room again.

We watched movies until Tyler
finally fell asleep beside me
and I felt my own eyelids
get heavy.

And like most nights, for the
past fifteen months, I saw one
last thing before falling asleep.

Green and Blue.
