I...can't figure out why this is happening

Like...I suddenly have a thing for combining the delicate sports of baseball and raising Pokémon. I tried to do it before, (*cough cough* that oneshot I spent like half of the last freakin book trying to publish but never finished) but now...one of my newest OCs is directly tied to it???

As in...Sol, the guy from my SuMo oneshots, is now someone who hails from a south-Kanto minor/little league baseball team and played pitcher. And he keeps trying to get into the Hau'oli team, but he's "just too good" for the skill brackets because apparently Kanto plays way hardcore. And um...as a piece of trivia since we're on the subject of him, Sol has a hard time catching Pokémon with low defensive stats. Not because of his offensive team...but mainly because when he throws a PokéBall, he knocks off a good 1-5 HP, and that adds up with a Pokémon who has a low catch rate.

Anywho...I wanna write something with it...but...I dunno how to do that if the last time I tried I got severely stuck...
