This is modelled after Emily Dickenson's "I cannot stop for death". It was originally a school project, and I really liked it. Btw the words are capitalized like that on purpose.
I cannot stop for Life-
As Death reaches his gaunt hand-
Inviting friends and relatives
To walk down where he Thrives,
When the Powerful steal the riches of the poor-
The young; the unable; the Unnoticed, grim faced shadows-
They are expected to trudge through the ruined rubbles that collapsed on their former kingdom on high-
Stopping, showing their weaknesses would relieve them of all honor.
And yet when Life struggles on-
Bringing the inevitable and the unexpected,
We cannot halt in our journey-
No One is handed the luxury thereupon,
When the weary days finish-
While the sun sets on the Never ending, desolate horizon,
After the frozen nights provide only sleeplessness and worry,
We must continue stumbling or lest we perish.
