Lucas wandered all around Texas looking for maya. eventually he went to Chubbys, the only placed he hadnt checked. but she wasnt there either.
as he was about to give up he hand an idea. the campfire.
he ran to where he almost kissed Maya. and to his luck he saw maya sitting there alone looking at the fire.
"Maya..." he said, she looked up at him with tears in her eyes.
"how can you pick between the two people you love most and make sure that neither one of them get hurt?" she asked as she lookd back down. Lucas sat down next to maya and held her hand
"you don't, someone is going to get hurt" Lucas said
"and how do you know that your descion is going to be the right one?" maya asked as she whipped away her tears.
"i dont. but i do know that as soon as you left and i didnt chase you i felt awful." Lucas said
"Lucas?" Maya asked
"yeah?" Lucas asked
"do you care about me?" Maya asked as she avoided eye contact with him.
"of course i do. id never let anyone hurt you maya. i care about you so much" lucas said
"run away with me" maya said with a small smile.
"you want me to run away with you?" lucas asked
"...yeah. Lucas i care about you. the only other people i care about are my mum and Riley so you pretty darn special and... i want to run away with you. just for a while, until i can clear my head and start up my life for Oliva" Maya said
"your sister Olivia?" lucas asked
"yeah, sadly Kermit still has her and i dont have the money to buy a house for me and her to stay in" maya said
"what if we run home. we both get jobs, buy an apparment together and help Olivia live the life she desvers" Lucas said
"...id love to... but i can't look at riley the same way for long time" maya said
"then ill go home and ill start saving money and when you are ready to come back maybe we will have a place for Olivia" Lucas said with a smile
"okay" maya said
