((A poem for Root and Sameen -- as though written from Root's perspective to Sameen))
her laugh is my favourite song;
it evokes my most strongly fragile smile.
I try to pay attention to her voice, but I can't stop thinking how badly I want to play her body like a piano
and hear it rise an octave.
she is the ballad
my heart won't stop singing
and when we are together
we're no longer a mere rhythm
– we might as well be a symphony.
