I have been caught. I have to come up with a good excuse because my face always shows when I'm lying. "What do you mean?" I seriously can't be sly. "That sigh. What happened?"

"It was nothing."

"Mhmmmmmmmmmmmmm." My mom says out of no where.

"I'm just tried. How much longer?"

"We have to go buy dinner so we could stop by the house and get some money then go to the store."

"Ok."

I scrunched back releaved that they didn't notice. Then I realized something. Were going back to where we just went so he could be outside still. Should I come up with an excuse to not go or just pray that he would beinside. I chose the easy way and prayed for him to be back inside knowing that we were going to get stuuf for tacos. They're my favorite.

We walked in and got some money. My brother said he wanted to go somewhere so he took the white 911 Turbo S Cabriolet Porsche. That was the hottest car in the garage. Maybe he used it to pick up some chicks but I don't think he's that type. The two of us got back in the car and backed out of the driveway. My hands where shaking because if she saw him than she would stop the car and talk about it all day.

"Are there any other ways of going to the store for future reference?" I tried to sneak at her.

"Afraid not sweety buns. Why?"

"Just incase one road is blocked off and I need to get to school."

"Umm..ok. I was wondering if I should-no way. That's him. It's Jack!" I turned and didn't realize that we've been driving for that long. I face palmed and slouched down so he couldn't see me. Luckily my mom didn't stop, but she waved. He looked so confused because he's never seen her before, but she's seen him.

"He doesn't know who you are mom! Drive so we can go get tacos!"

"Don't be embarassed hunny. Now don't slouch like that. You could get back pains."

How come when I pray for something it never happens. It's like karma for me accidentally cutting a girls pig tails off in the 2nd grade. Maybe it wasn't an accident but she deserved because she took my apple. I was a bit rebellious back then.

As we were munching on the delicous, crunchy, soft tacos the doorbell rang. Curse you person who was disturbing my peace. We all looked at eachother before I went up to get the door. Whoever this is, I'm giving them a lecture on not disturbing during dinner time.

I spung it open to see a guy with sparkling blue eyes and dark brown hair that laid perfectly on his face. He looked at me shocked and poked my cheek.

"What was that for?" I asked quickly.

"To make sure that's actually you. Did you follow me here?" I chuckled from his question and asked him to come in. He nodded and stepped in. His jaw dropped to the ground when he saw the size of my house. I couldn't help but laugh. we looked at eachother in amazment when my mom walked over. She ruins everything I tell you.

"Hi Jack!" I looked down at my fuzzy socks with a horrid face. She is the typical embarassing mother x12.

"Hi women I never met before." He gave her a quick hug and she looked scared out of her mind like he was going to kidnap her. "Oh. I know you. You waved at me when I was outside." Then he turned to me. "How come you didn't stop to say hi?" I had to come up with an excuse to why I didn't so this came out of my mouth.

"Ididn'tknowforsureifitwasyousoIdidn'twanttoembarassmyself." He nodded acting like he understood that.

"Ellie, why don't you show Jack around! I am Nora by the way." She shook his hand and again, his mouth dropped.

"You're Nora O'Brien! Never thought this would happen." He muttered. I grabbed his wrist and showed him around. Every little detail was spotted out by him. He noticed everything.

"This place is amazing!"

"Thanks, but there's a couple more things I want to show you."

"How can there be more?"

I pulled him through the sliding doors to the backyard. He smiled and looked at me.

"It's so beautiful. This is my favorite part." I tilted my head wondering what he was talking about since there are several things in the backyard. He ponited to the old tree as we walked closer to the fence. We just stared at it when he decided to go over the fence.

"What are you doing? There's a fence there for a reason." I snapped. He looked back at me and heled out his hand. I looked at it and held on to it. The touch was like electricity flooding through my veins. I guess he felt the same because we both looked up  at the same time. I left contact with his eyes and jumped over the fence. I looked back to make sre my mom couldn't see us.

We stepped closer and closer to the tree as we saw something. There was a carving in it. It said M+K with a heart around it. I put my fingers on it and traced what it said.

"I guess were not the only one's who like this tree. Must be from the old couple that lived here for several years."

"How do you know?"

"There names were Mae and Kiran. They lived around the neighborhood growing up and then they moved into this house together when they were older. Soon Kiran passed and Mae moved into a retirement home." I was shocked that he knew all of that information. My mom called for us and we ran up back to the house.

We stepped inside as I walked him to the door.

"Are you going to school here?" I nodded looking nervous he ended up noticing that. "Well consider me your friend. I'll be at the bus stop at 8:15. You could meet me there and we'll be bus buddies."

"Thanks but I'm not your friend. I'm your best friend. Just joking. Maybe we should actually go get some coffee and tea whie we talk about ourselves. Get to know each other." He nodded and gave me a hug. We said goodbye and he left. Who would've known I would make a friend this quickly. I definitely didn't.
