17) The park

Owen was sitting on a sofa in his new apartment offered by the Masrani Global.
He was upset, confused and the only thing he wanted in that moment was to be at home with Claire.
He decided to call her.
"Hey babe it's me" he said
"Thanks God! How are you Owen? Are you still there? Does something happen?" she asked
"I'm okay" he replied
"No you're not, I can feel it" she said in a whisper
"What they're making here... I've sign a contract so I couldn't talk to you about what's happening but it shocked me Claire"
"Why?"
"They're still working whit hybrids" he said with a sad voice
Claire started crying "And it's all my fault"
Owen didn't know what to say.
"You all did a big mistake generating the Indominus Rex..."
"So I did Owen... I'm responsible for what happened at the park and I'm responsible for what will happen in the future!"
"This time the fault is on me Claire"
"Why are you saying this?"
"Because I've indicated them a way to use your hybrids and I couldn't do anything worse"
"What are you talking about?" she asked worried
"They'll create other hybrids which will be used as weapons"
For a moment nobody talked.
"You didn't know their purpose, you've worked with your raptors for another reason"
"But I should have thought about it, I've been so stupid Claire"
"Please stop saying that!"Claire yelled in tears
"We have to decide if we want to continue fighting or say goodbye to the past and look to the future Claire" he said
"But we can't run away from our past"
"Yes we can, if we want to start a new life"
Claire was still crying.
"I'll call you tomorrow Claire, I love you"
"I love you too Owen, please come back home for me"
"I promised you"

Will Owen make their whole world come crashing down or will he find a way to stick together and survive?
