I wake up with a pounding headache. I try to grab some Ice but my head feels heavy on my shoulders. I get changed for school and I meet Jace outside my house. I groan and moan while I walk. "Well then Zombie girl how are you?" Jace says. "I feel like shit." I say. "That's normal, trust me." Jace said smiling. "Great I look and feel like a zombie." I say. Jace laughs. 

We get to school and people stare at us. "Why are people staring?" I ask Jace. "I think it's because you look like a zombie." Jace laughs. I nudge him. He dropped me off to our classroom. Everyone stares at me like I have two heads. "What's wrong guys?" I ask. "You went to a year 10 party?" Casey Asked. "With Jace?" Anna smirked. "I-uh- well.." I said scratching my head. The bell went and everyone came up to me and started talking to me about the party. "The whole school knows!" Carly says. "But I don't blame you going with Jace, he's a dream boat!" Ashley smiles. Everyone laughs.

 I glance back at a friend of mine. Kenzie. I hadn't talked to her in a while, but we used to be really close. She makes eye contact with me and we share a smile. She waves me over so I join her. 

"Hey Malena, can we talk?" Kenzie smiles. "Sure." I say. We sit down near the rocks.

 "Do you like Jace?" She asks me. "Wait whaaaaaatt? No ahahha why would you say that?" I say. She gives me a look. "Ok yeah I'm kinda like in love with him." I say. I know I can trust kenzie, She was there for me for a long time. "You're the only one who I can talk to about. Cause I tell everything to Jace since he's my best friend but this is the one thing I can't tell him." I say.

 "I know and I can tell." She smirks. "When are you going to tell him?" Kenzie asks. "I am um not sure." I say. "Actually Kristine is having a pool party and I'm sure she'll invite Jace but then she might invite me as well." I say. "You should to tell him." Kenzie says. "Why?" I ask. "Cause I think Kristine is going to make her move soon. I overheard her in the Bathroom." Kenzie whispers. My eyes widen. "Well I better get moving." I say. Kenzie smiles. "Thanks Kenzie. I really appreciate it." I smile. Kenzie and I hug before I get back to class.

I meet Jace back in the usual spot. "Hey Jace!" I say. "Hey M!" Jace smiles. Then we are approached by Kristine. Jace rolls his eyes and I try not to laugh. "Hey Jacey." Kristine flirts. "Hey." Jace says. "I'm sorry for the other night. I just missed you so much! And I'm inviting you to my party along with your.. acquaintance..." Kristine says twirling her hair.

 I looked at Jace and he looked at me. We both shrugged. "Couldn't hurt, yeah we will come." Jace says. "Perfect." She smiles. Her friends smile behind her. "Let's go girls. We have some arrangements to figure out." Kristine said blowing a kiss to Jace. Jace and I run off. "Something seems fishy." I say. "Maybe it's the fish and chips I had for lunch." Jace says blowing in my face. 

"Oh Yuck!" I say rubbing my face. "That's what I do." Jace says. "Here take a mint." I say blocking my nose. "Thank you very much." Jace says popping the mint in his mouth. We both end up laughing. "Ok so the party goes from 4-7pm so I do you want me to pick you up again?" Jace asks. "That would be great! Only if you can." I say. "Of course I can!" Jace says. "Alright see you in an hour!" I say. "See you soon." Jace smiles.
