"How's everything with Oliver?" Tara asked. "We're good, we barely fight and when we do he only talks about how guys stare," I smiled. "Well you are beautiful, sis," Tara complimented. "And I understand the jealousy, but either way our relationship is great," I told her. "How's Oliver in bed," Tara smiled.

"Tara. Don't tell Ollie, but he is amazing. Clay was good but Oliver's better," I gossiped. "You're turning pink, might be true," Tara laughed. Tara and I jogged some more and went back to her house and I went home. "Hey," I acknowledged Oliver kissing his cheek. "Hey baby, are you ready for your induction?" Oliver asked.

"You know I am, let me go wash up and get dressed," I told him. "Can I come with?" Oliver pleaded. "Come on tiger," I teased. Oliver and I showered and got dressed, all uniform parts ironed and straightened, hats and shoes shined for my promotion ceremony and Chief Rollins's retirement ceremony. "Lookin' good Amber," Oliver complimented.

"Not to bad either, Ollie," I smiled. "Ready to go, Chief?" Oliver asked. I smiled and Oliver and I left for town hall. "Now give a round of applause to Chief Rollins of our strong and proud Lake Victoria Police Department," Mayor Reynolds announced. Everyone cheered as Chief Rollins walked up to the podium.

"I've been chief of the LVPD for over 20 years. I've served and protected our town everyday, even when I was a young sergeant on vacation. The person I am going to announce today is my dearest friend, my best officer, she's tough, respectful, she'll protect and serve until the day she dies. Forever my sergeant, my daughter, your new chief, Amber Elizabeth Ackers" Rollins announced proudly. I hugged my father and walked proudly to the stand. "Can we hear another applause for my father, Chief Rollins!" I pepped. Everyone cheered and clapped which made me tear up a little. "I am proud to be your new chief and I promise to young and old to be your protector. The LVPD on my behalf would like to thank every citizen for attending this event and I will treat this town with the honor and respect it has," I told the town.

Mayor Reynolds walked up beside me and we shook hands. Later that day, after settling into my new office I checked my computer and got an disturbing email. "Hey did you get that weird email too?" Tara asked rushing into my office and closed the door. "It's very unsettling, probably just a prank," I advised. "How can you be sure Amber?" Tara asked.

"Tara there isn't a bomb in the building," I told her. "Wait, do you hear that?" Tara paused. "It's a ticking sound, just the clock," I admitted. I followed the sound in my desk drawer and opened it. "Tell everyone to hurry out and take the vehicles as far as possible," I commanded.
